Wuthering Waves Mod Progress
🕑 Added 2024-06-04 00:53:42 +0000 UTCWuthering Waves, a Genshin-style game, came out recently and I got some people asking about it so I checked to see if I could mod it. despite being UE4 we can't mod it the usual way because it uses a custom engine, but someone is working on a modified 3DMigoto to support it.
I've never used 3DMigoto before so it's a bit of a struggle, but I was able to get a very decent result by just moving vertex and painting the nude body textures over the clothes.
Hopefully a way to import real custom 3D models is found, but I think this is a very decent alternative until then, and it might still satisfy most people once I iron out the issues (the shading and the eyes), and might do some other characters if there's interest.

Yeah the importer currently messes up the normals, not much I can do on my end aside from waiting sadly.

yeah its going to be a hassle, but 3Dmigoto is going to be one of the safest ways to mod this game for now since no one knows how the Anti Cheat works yet
