I know. Since this plot device is incredibly stupid, the author should have no problem inventing a solution like Harry inventing a ritual to exchange her sperm donor's life for her freedom. I've 0 respect and empathy for the fucker for (1) treating his children like chattel; and (2) getting in bed with terrorists.

The whole thing with the contract still feels so stupidly contrived, it's clear Sabine never agreed to it, only her parents did on her behalf, yet breaking it somehow means SHE loses her magic, not her parents. It doesn't make much sense to me, it feels like a not-so cleverly disguised plot device that's just there to excuse the unnecessary melodrama. It only detracts from what is otherwise a great story.

About time but I don’t think he wants the post but to distract them while levels the playing field, the post would be nice but it would make it harder to do things he needs to do, unless deal was made with the goblins which means he has the numbers on his side.

Lol... super!MC as Minister? Then again, with the way this fic has been going, can't expect the remaining characters (other than the villains) to have any real role of their own.
