Sean Dawson

He could use what he learned not to long ago from the cloudy mountains sect. To protect his people and area was apart of their contract and with their pressure on top of what they did no war?? Like not hard to figure out. But I’m over a year late to this discussion so let’s see what happens. TYFC

Andrew Haynes

Hmm, v2c86.1 seems to be missing.

Guy L.

Read this chapter again with 'You Say Run' playing in the background. FUCKING HYPE

Andrew Fox

"You can call me Rou." I could fucking imagine the hearts of every person present stopping the moment he said that lmao.

BZD

I can’t help but think of the Kangaroo’s from Winnie the Pooh every time I see Rou Tigu.

BZD

Yes

Jan Alexander

Saitama Jin! Haha. Finally the bastard got what he deserved.

Southern Mountains Loose Cultivator

It was indeed at that moment, that Yingwen knew... he clucked up.

SoulofaGremlin

“You can call me Rou”. Can we all appreciate how fucked he was after this one line?

Yong Cho

OOOONNNEEEEE-PPPPUUUNNNNNNCHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Eric Hicks

Yingwen tried to take another step, and then realised he couldn’t lift his feet. It was [does there need to be an as here?] if there was a great weight upon his shoulders.

sinra

KAME-HAME-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Garrett

100% Jin and the Earth Spirit

!~@!@#!

"It almost seemed like the ambient Qi was rising the longer they fought, and that made their abilities easier to control, brought in on a gentle summer breeze." I wonder if this implies their techniques are increasing the ambient Qi, or, implied by "gentle summer breeze", it's actually Jin's presence/Jin getting closer.

Steven Whitfield

The rice seemed thrice as lust(lush)! as last years, and even he himself seemed energized. It seemed everything was growing well.

shaine26

I just noticed the names of Elder Chongyun and Shenhe. Wonder where that came from *wink wink*

ConradVernerN7

These last few chapters have been phenomenal. I've been chomping at the bit for this next chapter.

Robin

Here’s hoping the landslide was Earth-chan turning Lu Ban into a fine smear.

Calico C

I’ve reread this chapter 4-5 times now waiting for the next one. It was just SO well written, and such a fantastic payoff to the build up so far. I love Yingwen’s perspective of events, and I’m glad you chose that character to tell it through

Cinnamon Toast

Just in case you are unaware check every now and then because today’s chapter hasn’t been released yet

Hellnhavoc

One of the best book chapters I’ve read in a while.

Just joined today for these chapters and holy lord am I glad I did. That was phenomenal writing and a perfect reveal of Jin’s strength. Just the perfect amount of loss to make that power reveal all the more satisfying. Am curious how the sects will react to Jin and I’m hella excited for more chapters.

Imspinnennetz

Follow up with threat of boycott by the Azure hill trading company to ensure compliance.

Bryce McIntyre

The reveal of Jin's power was extremely satisfying. He broke through a bunch of wards that can block an earth ranks full powered attack so he must be at least a rank higher than that. And the scripture was a sick addition to the lore.

Deadpan29

On one hand, it’s kind of nice to have Jin back in the middle of the main plot. On the other hand, the POV of various other people reacting to his presence and arrival promises to be very entertaining.

Kyle

I would say at least high Earth or Sky as long as he is on land associated with the Earth Spirit. He seems to have a limit if the Earth Spirit is not present, which resulted in him being tired after the ritual.

James Squibb

So we know that Jin is at least at Earth level, if not above it. I really like how this chapter was formulated. Jin's personality is really well fleshed out. I look forward to the next! The Power levels: Initiate’s realm Profound Realm Spiritual Realm Earth Realm  Sky Realm Imperial Realm Heavenly Realm

MrrC

Thinking it would be really funny to have Jin mention casually that he is happy to receive messages from the Shrouded mountain - all they need to do is send messages via the Cloudy Sword Sect to him.

Guilherme Silva

If the last POV is in the South of the capital, he punched him for over 600km.

Tiresome

Comment number 300

sharkattack

Love everything about this. Amazing.

So my man Jin just punched him around 300km? That's Big D energy

GameJunkie999

I wonder what their reaction is going to be when they find out that Jin is a former member of the Cloudy Sword Sect, and is someone still of importance to the Sect.

RJKY

“Hmph. Your power is far below that of my Master’s” Bi De snorted contemptuously. “You are beneath his notice. Look at you, struggling so greatly against just his chicken.” Jin: 'sup.

RJKY

Rou: Remember what Master Bruce Lee said... Also, the Fa Ram peeps when it comes to *their* view of the Cloudy Sword Sect's power level, is gonna get distorted by Jin.

John Brady Anderson

Not only that, but he only runs and jumps, instead of flying like other heroes/cultivators do.

Paerofar

I was profoundly happy with this and think you really did the character of Jin justice here. He isn't a master negotiator or a murder hobo. Thanks so much for this chapter!

Southern Mountains Loose Cultivator

He's definitely created a way for Shrouded Mountain to avoid more fighting while saving face. Shrouded Mountain agrees that obviously the murderous little serial rapist Imposter must've replaced their YM at some point, thanks Jin for avenging him and sparing the innocent disciples he'd misled... Or, once word gets back to the Sect, the refuse to go along with it, and like the elders from the local sects are afraid, send someone to kill Jin and the rest for daring to interfere and stop their Young Master and his cronies from raping and killing whoever they please and a war starts.

Nicodemus Archleone

I am satisfied. Thank you, Casual Farmer.

KoZa

Well, then hopefully theirs were better and your year gets better going forward!

So Yingwen has basically defanged the Shrouded Mountain sect from going after retribution, right? He went along with the "imposter" story and agreed that Lu Ban wasn't actually a Young Master of the sect (even though Jin now knows differently). Excited to see what happens to Loud Boy and Rags

KoZa

Forgot to comment last time, but welcome back! Looking forward to seeing the how this story continues! Hope you had a great break!!!

wearMoniker

I do wonder what the reaction of the Azure Hills elders will be. They likely presumed “the Hidden Master” was a ‘Profound 5’ or *maybe* low Spiritual Realm — which would be ultra strong by local standards. But then he strolls into town and publicly ends the ‘drunken brawl’ with a few words.

Irotroopa

EDIT: Well now that the parent comment's been deleted... Great job, CasualFarmer. That was Catharsis: The Chapter. And I applaud you for making a simple punch so epic.

I hope Jin has the wherewithal to bring Xiulan and/or some Merchant Co. people to his meeting, or at least have them debrief him on Clan politics.

Jon

Great chapter. Thank you!

Teatime42

Probably fell off during transit right at the end of the trip.

Spartanstoryteller

Come on admit it who else thought “ONE PUUUUNCH” when he split the sky

PaulRovinsky

Minor correction, last chapter ended with Jin carrying Fenxian over his shoulder. This chapter has him dragging Fenxian behind him.

PlasmaticPi

If you don't see the body, they aren't dead.

Derpp

That was awesome!

Should "Well, after the fight last night" be "Well, after the *fright* last night"? Fantastic chapter. Loved it.

A disgruntled nondescript squirrel

I can just imagine a slowly widening cone of verdancy expanding from the punch all the way to a giant fist shaped crater in the distant mountains

Martin

There are so many things I am looking forward to! What happened to Hutton the monkey (Huo Ten) Legendary one punch from Xiulan's and Bi De's POV Post fight discussion with Shrouded mountain disciples in manor What is up with Yun Ren's Fox spirit Follow up with Liu Xianghua and Gou Ren Local sects elders shitting themselves

dangerous mob

i am pretty sure it was just a shock wave, btw great chapter but i long for mass realease :D

STORRM

OOOOONNNNNEEEEE Punch~~~~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atxYe-nOa9w i was really expecting the earth to rise up and swallow him, but ONE PUNCH~~~~~ is good to. so him talking to his other half while awake mean hes remembering his dreams now? also is that 1400 Li 700 KM???? how was there even a body if he was hit that hard! i dont even know how to do that maths on the E=mc2 or what ever on that but say 60-100KG 500-700KM from a single contact, idk is that like getting hit by railgun powered by a nuke, the G-force should of liquefied his bones and vaporised his flesh.

Kyle

I have already re-red the chapter 3 times it is so good!

Len

Casualfarmer, i think this line needs to be emphasized more: “Enough.” A voice said. In truth, it was a command. " not sure how to do it here in comments but enough -in my opinion- should be say -if font size is 12 say a 16, bold and all caps-"ENOUGH" and command should be Command all bold. it would lay down more weight on how strong the impact of Jin's appearance has. absolutely, love the chapter though,

SoralTheSol

They can't. Effectively Zang Li just won the Darwin Award, something that even sects respect. The "Too Stupid to Live" award is only handed out to those special few. Example: Targeting the daughter of a hidden master to try and have your way out of petty revenge and think you would live to get away with it.

Will Iam

Achievement unlocked, 4 new techniques are ready, till the land, cut the trees, divert the water and break the rocks

Nicholas Grey

Ironically for Jin, who wished to avoid politics, it is his own involvement, as a “Master” in a “Disciples’ fight”, that will make this political. Especially as he has directly intervened, and killed a Young Master. Weirdly, what might actually salvage this situation all around, from a “Xianxia politics” viewpoint, is the fact that he crushed Zhang Li the previous year. “He offended me and I beat him down and told him never to show his face before me again. And now, he dares lay hands on my Disciples! He was courting death, and it came for him.” - Face all around, even without trying to explain possession or imposters, all the blame falls on Zhang Li, not for kidnapping, but for *personally offending a Master after having previously been spared and warned away*

Daniel Gesualdi

Ok so I thought jin would go wrath of nature on the guy but hitting him with the fist of God and team rocketing him was golden.

JohnJohn2195

Can you imagine big D and lanlan reaction to being one of the few to see jin throw a punch and just like damn i better work out more.

Juli Freixi

Thanks a lot for this amazing chapter Casualfarmer!

totalynotanonymous .

A particularly ugly shrub was said to grow from the impact site. It's fruit seemed unusually small and were described as 'looking like every Tetris piece at once' despite no one knowing what a Tetris piece was.

Seffen

Satisfying chapter. One edit though, it isn't "skortched" but "scorched" pretty sure that was also in the previous chapter. Not sure if this is the right place for edits^^

Arnon Parenti

The best negotiator in the current mix is by far Big d, so Jin should let him lead the talks with the shrouded mountain disciples.

Arnon Parenti

Tigu told him, and he felt the stirring of something wounded waking up when he broke down the general that commands the winter.

Arnon Parenti

No way a single fist from a wandering expert would kill young master Zang, it seems the imposter ran away so he doesn't have to face the judgment of the shrouded mountain sect.

jj

I think Lu Ban's paste

Orluros

The young master should be dead but I guess that the spirit that possesssed him could survive

GNDPOT

Onnnnnnnnneeeeeee punnnnnnnnnch! Hero don’t wanna hear you calling out his name Jin’s not here for fortune and fame

jak8714

I honestly can’t tell if Lu Ban lived through that or not. I mean, on the one hand, it’s clear that Jin was a Gazillion times stronger, and that was one hell of a punch; no way was Lu Ban ready for something like that. On the other hand, those talismans could very well be strong enough to tip the balance, and I’m nervous about that description of something impacting the southern mountains. Was that just the punch, or...?

Cute Otter

glad that little shitstain wont be coming back to haunt jin anymore

Pebble

That was very satisfying. The "[...] as all the talismans attempted to save Lu Ban. Attempted to." part gave me goosebumps. Also, I agree with what others have said already, in that I hope this is the end of Lu Ban. He was an OK antagonist, but if he comes back from this, it would probably feel a bit cheap. It's a big world out there. I'm sure someone else will manage to put their toes under Jin's foot, to be stepped on by him and then claim it was his fault. Now, on to next chapter suggestions. I think the one who should discuss things with the Shrouded Mountain people at the mansion is Xiulan. As was mentioned several times already in the series, Elders should not interfere in fights between disciples, and everyone at the square already agreed to follow that rule in this matter, so Jin should probably sit this one out (he can play up the mysterious Hidden Master part, the less he says or does, the more people's imagination will play him up to them). Xiulan is uniquely positioned to represent both the Azure Hills sects (at least the younger generation), as well as Jin. As the winner of the tournament, she has established herself as the strongest of her generation, and she has earned some goodwill with the other disciples during the fights and in the events in-between fights (plus her reputation from before the tournament). I feel they would be fine letting her speak on their behalf. She's also a friend of Jin and a fellow disciple of Fa Ram, so Jin and the others would probably also be fine letting her speak for them. This would also serve her desire to bring the Azure Hills sects closer together (as this would informally establish her as someone the other disciples defer to). Jin should probably still be there for the discussion, but only to observe. On a somewhat related note, I think it would be awesome if Loud Boy went back to Fa Ram with Tigu. IIRC he has the whole Dragon theme going for him, so I feel like there could be some thematic connection between him and Wa Shi. Maybe he can create a new (and "better") cultivation under Wa Shi's tutelage?

Gavriel

Jin; psyching himself up Jin; realizing he could have flicked him to death.... My face hurts from smiling 😆

Ktoffel Genshin

Thank you for the Chapter.

Benjamin Lawton

*points at Lu Ban* lol go explode normie

David Bean

Just awesome. What a chapter. Does Jin know about Earth-Chan though? It seems like he just talked to her. I sure hope we get to see them interacting now.

Demian Buckle

Thank you for the Chapter.

Russel

Even if he did he wouldn't want all out war

silentwolf465

Amazinggggggg

Mantiqore

"Shennong has at times been counted amongst the Three Sovereigns (also known as "Three Kings" or "Three Patrons"), a group of ancient deities or deified kings of prehistoric China. Shennong has been thought to have taught the ancient Chinese not only their practices of agriculture, but also the use of herbal drugs."

Mantiqore

I'm surprised noone looked it up yet, but the name Shennong greatly indicates where Jin's power comes from or will go towards. Pulled from wikipedia:

Sere Maddox

You've gotten me to be offended by proxy with a group of fictional people in your fictional world. I'd say that's art. Well done!

Messe

I don't even know what to say that was an amazing chapter. This is my new favorite chapter the descriptions were amazing.

Sere Maddox

It's possible that Jin might have a word about blacklisting sales of his goods to the Shrouded Mountain Sect. Or putting an exorbitant tax on JUST THEM. Let them come to see why they've been singled out for this honour, and find out that they've deeply offended an Expert and his disciples. For all that Jin just wants to live and let live, he comes from a capitalistic society and knows that economic sanctions can be just as powerful a deterrent as direct physical knockdown.

Mantiqore

Lu Banned

BlissForgotten

Better yet, everyone that was giving Tigu problems for being a bumpkin / rogue cultivator and then announces that they are the Rou's disciple?

FuschiaKnight

Elder Chongyun and Elder Shenhe, eh? I see what you did there, heh, especially since you recently picked up Genshin Impact.

Books McGee

The Azure Hills elders might not have noticed the pervious fight, but I'm going to guess they did notice the mountain appearing out of nowhere and punching a dude out of existence. I suspect the verdant blade sect will be quite polite when they meet.

Joel Bullock

ONE PUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!! Channeling Master Saitama I see. That was the best thing I've read in a while

Christopher Thomas

It seems Jin’s punch sufficiently scattered the fertilizer across the land

RJKY

Jin literally turned his enemy & his five-fold forcefield into dust.

Will mILLER

Because a punch is all you need in a ‘drunken brawl’

NoAriGuy

Man, i hope Lu Bans finally dead from that, dont want a third repeat of him getting his butt kicked XD

Richter Stormstrike

I love how rarely Jin gets involved in battle. It makes everything feel more weighted, more important. Especially since he hates all that 'cultivator bullshit' haha. Looking forward to more shenanigans!

N U

Hey, hey. You know the five talismans that are supposed to protect against Earth level cultivators? The same level that the Shrouded Mountain's clan's Elders are at? They didn't do shit for saving the Young Master. So how many Elders do you wanna toss at the Hidden Master to see if things work out?

Longhaul

*insert one punch joke here*

Ibn Nuh

One punch man makes his reintroduction.

ONE PUUUNNNNCCCHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Well, there's no doubt that Jin is significantly stronger than Earth realm now. No idea how he's going to avoid war with Shrouded Mountain though.

Ace High

Gottem with the chi-yeet

JohnZ

I really hope that Jin would have the chance to learn about everything that Ri Zu managed to overhear. Those bastards need to pay.

PaulRovinsky

Honestly, it feels like an unfired Chekov's gun. Even if Bi De had to save her, and Jin save them, I would have liked to see Xiulan put Jin's comments about fire's effect on grassland to use.

Lurker

lol get Annihilated scrub

Oni

Jin thinks all other Cultivators are potential threats to him, mostly because he has a very poor grasp of how strong he is on the ladder of such things.

Nicholas Grey

"Apparently, there had been a rockslide on Tianliyu Heights, a few hundred Li to the south, after a great something had impacted there. A couple hundred Li further to the south." Is it intended to have "couple of hundred Li to the South" twice?

NeWorlDark

If its any consultation to Jin those guys are probably gonna be killed for letter their young master die

Killer Pickle

Lu Ban better of not survived that, he better if turned into red paste like as if Saitama punched him.

Did I just join patreon and pay you to read this after seeing the 10k monster on Spacebattles? Yes. Yes I did. Please forgive me for only paying for the one month--I hope that the MR tier is a worthwhile sacrifice to make up for this!

St Chef

Was expecting the home run bat sound, the explosion, then the game.

Jeff Fischer

sanjou! hisshou! shijou saikyou

John Brady Anderson

Jin is Saitama from the other direction, not wanting to fight at all but becoming powerful as an unintentional side effect. That is what makes both series so wonderful, they are not stories about people trying to achieve the greatest, most powerful abilities of all time, but what happens when good people achieve those abilities because they desire something else that has power as a consequence.

John Brady Anderson

I do not get that reference

Kamahl

I'm also assuming Lu Ban lives. Only because he thought he was being wronged, and because Jin thinks shrouded mountain is a threat to him. So until conflict coimes from all of SM, I'll think it's not settled yet.

Enochi

The only thing I have to say against this chapter is I do wish we could have gotten to see more of Bi De vs Lu Ban. We only really got a small glimpse of it this chapter and last. Maybe a small snip of his perspective of Jin's arrival next chapter?

op3880

*Jin punching Lu Ban into the Shadow Realm* Universe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csY6_D293r4

Eric

I picture Jin being bald and wearing a yellow suit with a red cape at the end. Also, while I do like rice, I'm not sure if I want it lustful. "The rice seemed thrice as lust as last years"

Adi

He hasn't trained hard enough to lose his hair yet. He still has a way to go.

Hellmo

I think the imposter arc should be finished here. He was defeated, got power up, got defeated again. Repeating this cycle for this character will be too redundant.

Michael Otton

which is exactly the metaphor he's using for how the cultivator sects are decaying getting caught in the trappings and forgetting their fundamentals.

PenguinDLL

Jin "Shennong" Rou :)

Ichypa

I’d be kinda bummed if Lu Ban died, he was a great villain and foil for Jin, and we haven’t even really gotten his backstory that’s been hinted at yet. That said, if this is the last we see of Lu Ban, then I will be content, because what a way to send him off.

ETHAN P OATES

I did the exact same thing.

ETHAN P OATES

Id love to see BI De's reaction to master jins power.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't sent flying so much as rapidly vaporized. I thought the mountain part was just the after effect from being in the way.

ActionKermit

No body, no kill. Lu Ban is alive :v

Adam Rosenberg

Earth-chan

Ricardo

I see Jin has mastered one of Saitama's legendary techniques, the 'Serious Punch'.

Azranova

Definitely worth subscribing to see these last 2 chapters early

Codezulu

acceptable but i require more

John Koor

"He looked around at the skortched and destroyed square." Scorched. Skortched would mean the square was wearing a pair of shorts made to look like a skirt (skort).

Nicholas Grey

Yeah, that was definitely a Hol'up... Also "year's", as in "the rice belonging to last year"

Empty Shelf

Absolutely perfect. Well worth the wait.

ericksond

Jin the Divine Farmer

The Lost Pages

Fabulous chapter. Really liked the way Jin gave the Shrouded Mountain Sect a temporary reprieve. And that he wasn't satisfied with it. I liked how he even gave Lu Ban the chance to surrender. Also loved how the land girl showed up. (Sorry, forgot her name) And now I'm left wondering exactly how strong is Jin?

Melting Sky

His head was certainly dense and hard enough for the task.

Dale Tucker

Serious series: serious punch

Tyrell Facey

Saitama would be proud of that punch

BarbecueSteve

Same. Same.

Some person

It crushing. It was suffocating. It was as if the very land itself was staring at him with disgust. ….. missing a “was” at the start there

Simon Casey

That was awesome! Looking forward to seeing some responses to Jin showing off his power to so many people.

Savyar

He caused a rock slide a thousand li away.

Randall Norman Pick

When one must end it, strike your punches true

Owls

Only if they found out it was him.

Zeta

happy that Jin is realizing his strength. the way you wrote it seems like he could probably wipe the floor with that sect.

Evan

"It was a simple punch. The simplest of punches. The foundation of all cultivators, the first thing all warriors learned. His stance was wide and stable. His fist chambered like it was from a training manual. A technique to be practised and refined. Diligently studied and then abandoned, as a cultivator learned better and more powerful techniques." This is actually what stood out the most for me. Any trained fighter will tell you, foundational techniques are there for a reason. Old Tricks Are the Best Tricks, as they say, and forgetting ones foundations starts one on the fast track to defeat. All the advanced techniques and cool-looking bullshit one can name can, of course, be defeated with the simplest strike landed at the correct time.

I finally fell to the temptation, I subscribed to the patreon. I was not disappointed. Ahh to be saved from one cliff... just to be dangled over another.

Kristoffer .

Same mans

Lomie0

Ch 16 in the note I'd say that was an imperial level punch since only a single realm higher than the talismans might have not been enough. Initiate’s realm Profound Realm Spiritual Realm Earth Realm Sky Realm Imperial Realm Heavenly Realm

Havefeith

Lu Ban: gotta run away Jin Rou: I cast Fist ([Break the Rocks!]) Lu Ban: *is sent flying into a mountain*

georppy

I cast fist

A B

Surely Jin could have found a better tool to use to [Break The Rocks] at Tianlu Heights than the Young Master? /s Lol I love that fight scene

SuperiorFreak

Well, there goes Jins peaceful anonymity. I assume he is going to have countless people knocking on his doors after his ONE PUNCH blessed the land for a thousand Li. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gained the attention of the royal court. I mean, a man who can essentially make any region a lush oasis is definitely someone any government would be interested in.

Gamer Doyle

For those wondering about Zang Li/Lu Ban. It was explained way back in chapter 8 that Lu Ban possessed Zang Li with "The Twilight Cuckoo's Triumph" technique.

Red Bombadil

The Royal Road cliff finally did it: it convinced me to splurge for these advanced chapters. Totally worth it.

taukid

*inhales* ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!

Undead Writer

YES YES YES!!! Love it!! More more more!!

Owls

Considering Lu Ban has been wearing the Young Master like a suit... if it exists, it'd probably break anyway because whatever juju was keeping it from realising before is definitely gone now.

asdo

Jin now one punch man. Bald Jin when

Jeffrey Boser

He did not get weaker, he dumped his Qi into the crystal. He was a battery, and got drained.

Bigred411

Love it man. Thank you!

Bonifacio Mario Peña Jr.

Gotta be honest. Was expecting a "Let them come" instead of "Angry brawl" and for the entire sect to have to face Jin. Only to discover "grandpa don't like bullies."

Dion Crump

Rice might just be three times randier this year

Kilometers

Because he felt weaker as he got further away from the spirit, and it made a road towards him to "make sure he gets home safe" (paraphrased).

St Chef

"Close eye. Trust. Concentrate. Think only tree. Make a perfect picture down to last pine needle. Wipe your mind clean everything but tree. Nothing exists whole world. Only tree. Just trust picture." Now remove that bad apple.

Jeffrey Boser

I do not for the life of me understand why some commenters think that Jin gets his strength from the land spirit. She gets it from Him. His law/dantian is The Living Earth, and his cultivation technique is to circulate his qi into the earth and back.

ONE PUNCH

Initiate’s, Profound, Spiritual, Earth, Sky, Imperial, Heavenly. Five stages to each Realm.

Eric Bloom

Does anyone have the realm tiers handy? This feels like confirmation that when working in harmony with little big sister rou is definitely above earth realm (which is the step above profound I believe?). But how far? One realm? Two? Is there something like a power increase for cultivating a dou of nature? Might explain the rens fighting up weight class so well ?dou of illusion and engineering?

Southern Mountains Loose Cultivator

"Techniques spluttered and died. Cultivators flinched. Yingwen lost control of his lightning, because all of a sudden there was a mountain standing in the square." The disciples of the Shrouded Mountain had eyes, but could not see Mt Tai, courting death!

Xana

Can I have a list of the cultivation realms?

Rockinalice

Jin Cast FIST! It was Super Effective!

Oni

Really hope Casualfarmer posts the meme pic of that when he puts this up on QQ. If only to preempt everyone else doing it. :P

WonderBread459

I really appreciate how Jin’s “Break the Rock” takes its name from a poem. It reminds me of how miracles in dark souls work, where to cast a miracle you recite the scripture and tell its “story”. It really puts Jin in a different league from every other cultivator who simply throws out their moves with a simple name.

Cynsye

I feel like Jin turned him into a fertiliser bomb that improved the area he splatted into.

Nim

NGL, this one kinda got me in the feels.

dragonslaver

I think the crop thingy is because earth-chan connected back to the region.

dragonslaver

Didn't they fail? I think it's written that they "tried" but failed to keep him safe?

Elias A Rosado

Also: I loved the recreation of the "Killer Move: Serious Series, Serious Punch"

Will Iam

Love the chapter. Just a correction, lust to lush when talking about the rice.

Elias A Rosado

Now, will you bow to the expected trope of "He survives from the skin of his teeth and comes back much later" or will you once again subvert expectations and have him remain dead and gone?

Xodarap4

Jin Punched Lu Ban over 1200 LI while enhancing crops that for away.

Russell Todd

*Chapter Spoiler Warning* Ok, so defensive talismans activated and he disappeared. I hope that means he's actually dead and we get some confirmation of that. Cuz the trope of the bad guy being a cockroach is just so ingrained as a trope, that I don't trust like that without explicit proof. I don't want to find out later that he had a sixth talisman that teleported him home after the first five were expended.

RottenTangerine

Since it never says Lu Ban died, itll be some real bullshit if he comes back to life somehow after all of that. I doubt he will but some clarification would be nice! Wonderful chapter as a whole though!

Whale A

That's the most prosaic "I cast fist" I've ever read. Well done.

Eric Bloom

The rice seemed thrice as *lush* as last years.

Corwin Amber

thanks for the chapter 'It crushing' -> 'It was crushing'

Petru Mereacre

What has it ended so fast this is so good 😅

Eric Bloom

I mean zhang li had a father who is an elder of the shrouded mountain sect. And while there might be those who suspected something was off about zhang I doubt his father will take his death? Disappearance? With good grace.

Ulyik Naramrof

Serious Series! Serious Punch!

Ragav Kumar

This whole time, I've worrying about how Jin was going to handle this. I mean, the whole point is that he didn't want to avoid this kind of thing. Through that hype punch, I just found myself feeling really sad for Jin. Like he said, it's just something that had to be done. I wonder if there's going to be some soul searching for him to process this afterward, or if he'll be able to put some distance from it relatively easily... I can see it going both ways.

Karl

I loved this! Thank you!!! Simplicity brought to the limit hahaha! Take that Lu ban. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

Neuropain

Amazingly satisfying chapter. Looking forward to the aftermath where Jin tries to sort everything out.

good chapter

William H

jeeeeze man! ITS AMAZING!

Beardo

Love this. Thank you for your hard work and happy new years.

gotag

Delighted to see Jin's transformation to Saitama is complete

Tyler Tate

I would love to see a scene where one of the Azure Hills or Shrouded Mountain disciples watch the clouds part in the distance from Jin's punch

Richard David Reily

Awesome chapter! Can't wait for the next.

Chad Hagner

Awesome Chapter! The visual was amazing, the glowing golden cracks and the simple smooth punch. So much better than a 10 chapter fight. Nice writing!

ChanceOfFoxin

I'm so delighted

MrMarauder

So satisfying to 📚📚📚 . Love it!

Some where in the infinite multiverse, a certain heroic cyborg shudders for no discernible reason.

Linkneo5

Amazing! Worth the wait and anticipation.

Nick Youngstrom

I love that the blow breaks only what was meant to, like pruning a tree removing a weed.

Just before the punch.

focus2x

Hey just in case you missed it: " It *was* crushing. It was suffocating"

MockingBird

This was phenomenal. Worth the wait, can't wait till Friday

dragonslaver

One correction: "It WAS crushing."

Kedar

Oh yeah!! Got the old farmers POV!

Luker number 5

It'll be interesting to see what they think up when Jin asks how they're going to apologise.

Alexis Lionel

Gotta say, I needed this. Bad day and all that. But I loved the resolution to everything. It was kinda DBZ with Jin appearing and ending everything, but without the 20 chapters of screaming to power up. Loved that bit at the end, where the farmer's excited about the increased crop yields. It's so obviously a result of Jin but leaving the reveal of how far away that was from where Jin punched was great! And in a final, and kind of irony here. I am looking forward to the mansion scene and seeing how that works out. We the readers do know that the Young Master was possessed by a Demonic Cultivator, but the Shrouded Mountain doesn't know. But that technique he used at the end, could that be the key point if revealed that leads those people to realize that fact? Or will it be that whatever blood marker thingie that's used to track valuable sect members didn't break or something? That's a common trope of Xianxia, that valuable sect members have a stele or marker that's keyed to them, especially the young masters. So it breaks when they die.

Patrick Hoke

Yo holy shit that man done got ***yote.***

Sassy

Lu Ban? More like Lu Gone lmao

Raymond Alderman

"He's a farmer! All he can do is a simple punch!"

Noah

He did vaporize Lu Ban, didn’t he? One minute Lu Ban was there, and then “he wasn’t.” If I’m reading this right, it’s the best indication of his power we’ve seen so far. According to this chapter, he’s a realm above “Earth” right now at the least, seeing as he just crushed 5 Earth Level talismans with a single punch.

Alexander Dupree

Honestly I think that for all it was a shit situation the compromise was a decent one.

Gardor

Hope you invent a new antagonist, rather than recycling this guy again

Alexander Dupree

He's just a hero for fun.

Alexander Dupree

I love it. Thanks for the chapter.

Argivian

Do not fear the man with 1000 techniques; instead, fear the man who has practiced one technique 1000 times

Chad L.

I look forward to seeing the local elders wet themselves.

kaalveiten

That was a really great moment.

RottenTangerine

Great chapter! And with one punch, Jin managed to devalue the price of many expensive crops due to their tremendous yield.

John O'Connor

Me too.

Jonathan Brewster

I guess I'm still confused as to his true power level. You'd think he would vaporize Lu Ban (Zang Li) with his punch.

J3_Haustkottr

Holy shit. That was amazing.

Summercat

A farmers technique. I sorta called it.

Matt

Jin channeled him some Saitama there.

Sean Ulrich

ONE PUNNNNCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Ask-if-I-like-lemons

Wait. Is Lu Ban the Young Master? I thought it was Zang Li? I'm a bit confused. Where is Zang Li?

on the upside

thanks for the chapter
