Not stupid, it happens all the time when someone builds a story that gets too complex, but I can try to explain: Vanessa is based on an older woman who is short but looks younger, then, her daughters are from different fathers due to (*spoiler that will be explained later*), this is why they have different features: Phoebe has a Latin dad, while Audrey has a "north European" dad. As for their features being so different to Vanessa, it is my fault when I begin building the stories more than 10 years ago, it won't be easy to fix, so I wrote a reason with the unification of my stories universe, somehow a spoiler: Some families in Deamore (the country) have a lot of affinity with the land they live, meaning that the more they dilute their blood or go far from their land, they lose their powers. Meaning that her daughters got most the features from her fathers and not their mother. IF Vanessa was living on her "land", her daughters would be redheads like her. This is explained better in the future where we find her "niece". Did you understand? I can explain more if you want. Maybe a stupid question. But I don't get the story, are they really her daughters biologically? Is there somewhere you can read the story from the beginning as a coherent story?

Hey man, perfection as always. Can't believe I am seeing a remake of Chapter 3 as well! It is so awesome seeing how far your craft has come since I became aware of your stuff back in 2012, keep up the good work sir! You did miss a Starship Trooper reference with Phoebe saying "I'm just doing my part" though, should've followed it up with Audrey saying "would like to know more?"
