I'm still fixing stuff IRL, ain't back yet.
Got some time and thought about the Jessica GTS scene that was horrible to make: the excessive light and shadows were doing horrible, it was a workout making that happen.
There's a reason I'm having so much problems with dealing with iRay: outdoor scenes.
I need the sun, I need an okayish environment light and I can't afford using SOME extra lights the way I did in 3Delight because the rules are, well, different.
Having a sky and a sun working was a big deal, having the mirror to "mirror" sky was another, but in the end all went to crap because every new scene was a nightmare to set.
I decided to review the setting based on the most basic iray scene - that did render good, and dialed down A LOT of things.
The result is the pretty lady on screen whose only adjustment was some of the bluish skin reflection fixed, and yes she has some blue in the shadow because the whole scene is "sky". It may look better on an average scene for sure, but I don't dislike the result.
I'll have to go back on my tests with Eden, Vanessa and Giselle where I faced different problems and test again.
So, yes, I'm still incapable of producing stories right now, at least until I can fix the inconsistencies in my light setup and make it work in any of my scenes, but I'm optimistic about it: look at the hair and the skirt: you can see their color under she shadow, it is not so dark and it doesn't even have the need of tweaks or she shader itself - this makes me excited because it means I may be able to avoid fixing textures in all my scenes!
Anyway, just to let you guys know.
I'm in the middle of a serious decision here and testing my scenes help me to come up with new ideas.
