What Little Me Would’ve Asked For 🎁 Day 9 of 24 Days of Christmas🎄
🕑 Added 2025-12-09 21:00:07 +0000 UTCWhen I think about Christmas as a kid… my kid self wasn’t asking for practical things or sensible things. Oh no no no. Little me went straight for the good stuff.
If baby felka had a Christmas list, it would’ve gone something like:
an orange ATV (obviously).
ATV gear so I wouldn’t cry when I fall.
A big puffy dress I could spin in until I fall over dizzy (layer with ATV gear).
A horse. Not a pony. A horse.
And snow. Lots and lots of snow. Enough to sled in, to roll around in, to rip it on an ATV until my cheeks were frozen and my hair smelled like winter and gasoline. you have no idea, not joking.
The other night, after an unhinged Jenga night with friends, I walked them out to their cars. It was quiet. Cold. Snow drifting down in that soft, magic way. I stood there a minute longer, nose in the air like a little wild animal, catching the familiar scent of gasoline in the snow.
And instantly—instantly—my whole body wanted to be ripping around in it.
My brain started problem-solving:
Maybe I rent a cabin just for one.
Find some guy on Facebook Marketplace willing to rent me his 4-wheeler.
Spend the whole day (and let’s be honest, the whole night too) mobbing around like a feral little snow creature.
Just the thought lit my chest on fire. And then I laughed, because… little felka would be SO proud. She would look at grown-up me and think:
“You still play. You still have fun. You still chase the things that make your heart go fast. Desire does not go away, but you can try to bury it.”
And that… that made me feel like I’d done something right.
So today, I want to challenge you. Encourage you.
Take a moment and think back:
What would little you have asked for at Christmas?
What would they have wanted to play with after school?
Before chores? After homework was done?
On snow days or quiet days or days you felt most yourself?
What made little you feel alive?
You deserve to touch those things again. Even just in small ways. Even just in the ways you can afford right now. Because that kid version of you didn’t go anywhere—they’re still in there, waiting to be invited out to play.

Little Felka and Little me weren't that far off it seems 😂. I wanted a 400 atv because my parents already bought me a little 110. a cool helmet and a dirtbike aswell. Ended up buying them for myself as an adult. I rip around when it snows on the streets with my quad Oooooo I was hoping it would've been a sports quad in the throne. like my raptor 700

Smol puchy would ask for things that probably didn't exist. However I like to draw so I would draw the action figures, spaceships, boats etc.. In pieces of paper and cut them. I would be so happy to play with my paper toys 💀 looking back my dad was probably happy he was saving money and my mother was angry because I was giving the vibe we were poor hahaha. Didn't matter to me tho, I had all the action figures I could ever want ( ALSO ALSO fun fact "murio la flor" cover was added in my yt Playlist that the platform makes for you, and my grandma thought it was beautiful, so you got the Mexican Abuelita stamp of approval)
