I’ve been a Traveling
🕑 Added 2023-07-25 21:12:09 +0000 UTCI thought I’d have a bit of time to post some things the last couple of weeks, but that was entirely incorrect! So let me know explain where I’ve been.
I’ve been in freaking Switzerland!
Every summer, my college friends—the old Comedity crew, for those of you all familiar with my early early work—and I try to get together for a vacation. Usually we all go to the beach, which is a delightful week of relaxing and surf. But this year, we’re all turning 40 if you can believe it. So, we all wanted to do something a little more… and so we took an 11 day train tour of Switzerland!
And let me tell you, it is an absolutely beautiful country. Just perfect scenic vistas everywhere you turn. Amazingly green rolling hills, endlessly tall mountains, Caribbean blue lakes…
We went so many places and saw so many things and ate so much cheese and chocolate. It was a truly amazing experience.
A couple of observations:
- Switzerland really does make public transit look like the only and obvious choice, why doesn’t everyone do trains on this scale?
- Parking garages don’t seem to exist. Only bike racks.
- Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, has an amazing ass. I credit all the walking and biking.
- NYC is positively FILTHY in comparison to Zurich.
- The only vegetable the Swiss believe in is the potato.
- Swiss wine is delightfully mello.
- Swiss watches get verrrrry expensive very quickly.
- The Swiss know how to do cheese.
The week after I got back I had a convention in Hartford, CT. Again I thought I might be able to get some work done between trips but between jet lag and general exhaustion I just couldn’t.
However! I am now not only rested but positively JAZZED to be getting back to art and comics. I am so damn excited to get back to the drawing board. Hold onto your butts, there’s going to be a lot coming down the pipe!

So far have you met Melon Pan (aka: the German Hentai Weeaboo) while over there? Other than that, pretty place, glad you enjoyed it there, a trip well deserved.

Glad you had a good time. Sorry about all the worrying. Once I had a long distance professional relationship and we hadnt heard from him and it turns out he was in the hospital and passed away. Glad to hear all you were dealing with was breathtaking landscapes, chocolate, and perfect ladies' asses. ;)
