Warm Up Sketch 2023-10-11 "Space Phoenix"
🕑 Added 2023-10-11 16:02:06 +0000 UTCA smidge over 15min here. Much like the diver girl, the impulse to keep refining and refining is strong. But the point of warm ups is to, ya know, warm up. Shake loose the muscles and get the hand and arm used to doing the movements of drawing again. This one might have benefited from me doing a quick underlay sketch. But it's still neat.

I expected Jean Grey from X-Men, but this is awesome too. Very pretty colors.

It looks great, and I like the textures you are getting, particularly on the dark red color. Even without refinement, this piece has a layered feel around the connections between body and wings, and the hint of what could be legs between body and tail.
