A Polycule of Mars Cast
🕑 Added 2022-10-06 20:36:33 +0000 UTCHad to work out a few Martians for the upcoming storyline. I'm really quite pleased with them! It's always interesting to see what you can do with a fictional species. It's super easy to get trapped into an extreme version of Same Face Syndrome. You want them to look like they belong, but also you want to make sure you can clearly tell them apart, and also a little biodiversity is good to round it all out. Technically, this is just my first pass, so some details may change yet, but honestly, I'm really quite happy with them. Everyone feels like a unique character, and I'm excited to see them all on the page.

Haha, yeah. First names just never came up in AstroKnots. It was short and punchy and funny, and it made sense (to me) that the crew refers to eachother by their last names. So there was never a time for first names to come into play. But I figure they should all have them.
