🕑 Added 2022-08-19 17:37:13 +0000 UTCI tried something a little different with this one. Did some fun grayscale painting that I'm really quite happy with, and then applied a halftone filter to it. Something CSP just does. Very cool. It's super fine grain, so it may not come through well, but still, I had fun with it.
Edit: added just the greyscale without the halftone effect and a quick colorized version for fun!

Yeah, it does have a very striking effect. It's the medium the thing that gets in the way....

You're not wrong. It really does require viewing at exactly the scale of the original file. Halftone's not a technique I play with often, though I keep seeing artists use it to great effect!

The art is stunning! But Iβd love to see the non-halftone version you did with grayscale. Halftone looks super cool on printed materials, but it causes all sort of optical shenanigans on digital, especially when the imageβs view is resized in a given platform. I personally just avoid halftone nowadays, unless its used in a large size, with big-ass dots.
