Maybe something of the ladies from the Darksiders series? There's few possibilities there and it would fit the apocalypse theme.
I'm going to slightly co-sign the above medical idea, but I would also be down for a mad-scientist type of thing as well.
Longwing
With everything going on in the world, something medical-research themed could be a nice thought. Lab-coats, beakers, and miracle cures to terrible ailments. Alternately, with fall coming up, something involving warm mugs and pumpkin spice would be a lovely sentiment. I'll also repeat my request from last month: Pick a character you've already drawn and continue their story, give us additional scenes from their lives.
