Here is a little quote from the book I particularly like when Ned is talking to Arya in her room: You were born in the long summer, sweet one, you’ve never known anything else, but now the winter is truly coming. Remember the sigil of our House, Arya.” “The direwolf,” she said, thinking of Nymeria. She hugged her knees against her chest, suddenly afraid. “Let me tell you something about wolves, child. When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Summer is the time for squabbles. In winter, we must protect one another, keep each other warm, share our strengths. So if you must hate, Arya, hate those who would truly do us harm. Septa Mordane is a good woman, and Sansa … Sansa is your sister. You may be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts. You need her, as she needs you … and I need both of you, gods help me.”

NED is showing PTSD symptoms.

Great analysis at the beginning Stu 👍 It’s always awesome when you do those.

Diana

I really like Tyrion Lannister and his humour 😁 what do you think of him?

Finished this one. Ned at the end is hearing swords and men shouting… flashback memories of the wars he fought 🙈

River

Just to say, when Dany says she wants to go home, in the book her inner dialogue clarifies that she's talking about the place they're living in Pentos rather than their lost 'home' in Westeros. At that point all she really wanted was safety and security in life but her brother's ambitions took presidence.

Lenny

As long as there arent any spoilers. His background hasnt been explained yet in the show so dont tell me anything that I shouldnt already know.

Winters and summers in game of thrones universe is different from our universe. Summer can last like 10 years and Winter another 10 years. It doesn’t go like 3 months of winter, spring, summer autumn in one year. In game of thrones the seasons are different so is the maps. We don’t know for sure if in game of thrones the earth is flat or round… game of thrones has multiple books, i only read the dance of the dragons (House of the dragon- prequel to game of thrones) so i don’t know about the flat or round earth thing… i know about the seasons 🙂 But summer lasts for years and so is winter… and when winter comes darkness comes with it as it was previously said in the first 2 episodes 🧟‍♀️ 🧟‍♂️
