I would like to know your thoughts on how to spend some of my time...
🕑 Added 2025-07-19 20:14:23 +0000 UTCCurrently I try and get out 4 episodes of an anime (currently Attack on Titan) and 4 episodes of a live action show (currently Game of Thrones) each week. On top of this I also try and livestream between 3 and 4 hours a week.
I would like to get your thoughts on how best I can use that streaming time over the next 8-10 weeks. Some people have liked gaming streams. We did The Last of Us Part 1 because it was directly related to the live action show that I had just finished reacting to. That has obviously led to the suggestion of more gaming streams, but I am not sure if this is what the majority of my community want.
The options of how I could spend my time are in the poll. This is not a definitive decision, this is me seeing the general consensus of how to spend my time. The options seem self explanatory but in brief:
1) Stream TLOU part 2. It looks as if this takes 20+ hours so could take 8 weeks or so to get through.
2) Livestream a discussion around a character or a scene from something we are currently watching. This could be a scene from AOT for instance around a trauma response, or a bit of a deeper dive into a specific character of where we are at so far with them.
3) I could watch a shorter series live. People have mentioned something like cyberpunk edge runners before which is relatively self contained. Or potentially the first season of something like One Punch Man or something else. This carries some risk regarding the chat, but I can position the chat where it cannot be seen. I see lots of creators live streaming reactions and they seem to do well with minimal problems from chat.
4) Instead of streaming I can spend the prep time, and the streaming time on putting out 2 movie reactions a week. For instance a silent voice and Kpop demon hunters keep coming up - I could things like that out instead.
5) Instead of streaming i could take a question from the chat - such as the Daenerys and Khal Drogo trauma bind question that came up recently. I could record a response to that with more detail than i can answer in the chat.
6) People frequently ask for an Arcane watch party. We could do that. i would still have to pause and comment for fair use principles.
Lots of choices there for people to think about. And maybe over the year there will be opportunities for a bit of a mix up, but I am thinking mainly over the next 8-10 week period.

Short games are fine. Its more of a consideration of the best use of my time. I can see my TLOU gaming streams get about 10 viewers during the live, and then the VODs (that average 2 - 2.5 hours) get 7 minutes average watch time. As much as I enjoy it, thats potentially 3 hours I could be producing something more worthwhile for people. I'll still stream when I play, it just wont be as structured with committed time as it is right now.

Personally it’s hard to tune in regularly to livestreams, but I’d love movies/short series. All of the suggested ones you used as examples (Kpop DH, Cyberpunk, A Silent Voice) are ones I’d love to see.

I really like the idea of movie reactions as there are so many incredible movies out there. However I hope there will also be time to alternate between movies and games. There are a lot of games that are not as big a time sink and can be finished in one sitting (think movie length, up to three hours) which I hope you could consider as well.
