Super Mario Sunshine 4K 1.0.1 Update is out!
🕑 Added 2020-09-27 16:05:05 +0000 UTCHi all Patrons!
I'm happy to announce that my latest update to Super Mario Sunshine 4K is now available to all Patrons! This update comes with many bug fixes and minor changes to enhance the gameplay experience even further. For example;
* Eyes of various NPCs are now in 4K
* Fixed the issue where some NPCs eyes would look bugged when they blinked (for example Mario or Peach)
* Fixed a bug where the goop would disappear after playing for an extended period of time.
* Removed the heat wave effect by default, everything is much clearer now! The heat wave effect can easily be enabled again inside the "Cheats" menu, which you can access by right clicking Super Mario Sunshine in the game list and then go to "Properties".
* Updated the shine gate texture to make it pearly white again.
* Updated shaders and tone mapping.
* Added shaders and tone mapping to the European (PAL) version.
* Added global illumination (experimental)
* Updated some HUD elements, including the coin icon, to match more of those in the original.
* Updated some terrain textures to be more faithful to the original textures.
* Updated gaussian amalflare- clear white things are now brighter in the sunlight and produce a neat reflection effect.
* Optimized textures for improved performance and reduced file size (compressed using BC7 DDS by default, a PNG version will be available as well for Android users).
Enjoy!
The Update is available to all you Patrons here, with a public release in two weeks from when this post was published!
There is also a 4K version available, if your computer can handle it! Please feel free to try it out!
(Only available for the Ishiiruka Dolphin Emulator, the texture pack does not work on real GameCube or Switch consoles).You can find more information about my HD texture pack here.

Yes, and yes. Even did both 4k and 1080p with no difference.

I see, then it should work straight away with no further setup. Did you extract the texture pack folder from the .zip file it came included inside? Are you using the included Dolphin emulator that came with the pack (named "Super Mario Sunshine 4K.exe" in the texture pack folder)?
Yes I am trying to play the north America version on windows.

thanks for the 4K version! Huh? super mario all-stars 3d? I've never heard of it :P
I signed up because the Discord said more PNG versions were converted here. Very sad. Looking for this and Lugi mansion...
You can convert them using a tool here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-custom-texture-tool-ps-v46-2
You should also publish in PNG format and in 1080 resolution for the android versions :(
