PROCESS VIDEO // tension studies
🕑 Added 2025-07-31 09:58:13 +0000 UTCHere's the process video for the studies I created for this month's challenge on capturing tension in a pose!
Some info about this process:
This was sped up by 300%, so 3 times the original speed.
The drawing session took me almost 4 hours.
I was super indecisive about the rendering style, so you can see me try out a lot of stuff that I end up later deleting. If you want to know more about my creative decisions, check out the resource video for more info that's coming up in just a minute! It has some commentary and additional info on this video, as well as tips on creating studies like these.

thanks so much! i've found it so helpful to divide whatever i'm drawing into sections. it really helps me understand the form better!

I love the way you use lasso/selections/gradients(texture) to define anatomical areas. Also love seeing how you paint a large area (shadow tone) and then carve into it with the eraser tool—within the area (or outside) the muscle area. It’s a very different (and efficient!) way to move away from conventional methods of drawing (graphite/charcoal etc) Your digital work is ALL ‘eye candy’ for me!😍💙
