Weekly Dev Screenshots
🕑 Added 2021-08-21 17:18:31 +0000 UTCOops, looks like we have some catching up to do with the weekly development screenshots! Well, let's just jump right into it!
First we have one of the redrawn graphics for Liliana, specifically the vined variant of her battle graphics. She's recently had both her battle and faceset graphics redrawn by Dai to fit in better with the other party members in terms of style. Speaking of, in some of the other screenshots you can also see some of Seles' recently redrawn graphics.
Secondly we have a preview of one of the new areas that are currently being worked on by our map maker Denam for chapter 13. I won't go into details on this, though, since it's somewhat spoilery...
Then we have an example of one of the many new faceset scenes that are being added to existing story segments now that we have more finalized facesets. Included in these scenes are also voice lines by the voice actors, most of which have now been recorded and imported into the game, which really makes the characters feel more alive!
Fourthly (?) we have a feature that was added in the previous closed beta update, namely escape challenges. You can select a challenge from a list and get rewards if you succeed.
Then we have two battle-related screenshots, the first one showing off a new category of enemies (drawn by TiedTiki) that can wrap party members up in silk/web (though webbed battlers are still WIP), and the second one showing the new Tainted Dagger members drawn by Aster-Effect.
Lastly we have some early sketches of Kaie, who is the next in line for getting faceset and battle graphics by Dai. Note that the way she looks here is subject to change in her finalized graphics.

Where can I find the escape challenges?

It will be available in v51 which we will upload tomorrow (it will have many faceset upgrades in early chapters), and if I understand you correctly that one is in chapter 3.
