welcome back to Swiftlessons for another by request song tutorial. In today's session I'll be teaching you my approach to performing the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood theme song "Won't You Be My Neighbor" by television icon Fred Rogers.
This show meant a lot to me growing up, and I hope that by teaching its theme song, I will be contributing - in some small way - to it's lasting memory, and the legacy of Fred Rogers. Before you get started, I'd love to share with you this thoughtful quote from the man himself:
"Love and success, always in that order. It's that simple AND that difficult."

Just perfect! The wife is a 1st grade teacher and now I have perfect song to take with me on guitar day.
I thought I heard they were filming a movie with Tom Hanks, I’m really looking forward to seeing that. Fred Rogers might not have been a rockstar, but he was so cool in his own unique way. Watching his interviews and speeches recently has really got me reevaluating who I want to be as a teacher, and what it means to be a teacher in general.
I saw it a few months ago, was in theaters here in Pittsburgh, a few tears...They have finished filming a movie about him here a few months ago, Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers...will be priceless like your lessons Rob. Thanks for this one.
