Cat Stevens "Morning Has Broken" Lesson Preview
🕑 Added 2018-03-30 21:14:55 +0000 UTC Hello friends,This weekend I'm creating a new tutorial on a unique way of performing Cat Stevens 1971 rendition of "Morning Has Broken." The goal in mind will be to adapt the piano sections to fingerstyle guitar for a complete solo performance. Familiarize yourself with the tune, and see what you can accomplish on your own with my demonstration. I'll be back tomorrow with a full break down. Have fun!
Note: The attached tablature is a rough draft, expect an update.

Hey thanks for the enthusiasm Stephen! This music is very important to me, and so I really wanted to present the full arrangement a best I could. Have fun!
Thank you SO MUCH! Cat Stevens has very interesting music with melodic chord changes. By adding your remarkable intros, middles and endings it adds a whole new dimension to my playing. Now it's not just strumming the chords and singing. It's playing MUSIC!
Awesome! I have yearned for some beautiful fingerstyle and I love Cat Stevens (Yusuf). If possible, could you share your methodology for converting and adapting? I have found that much of my favorite music is mostly piano-based, and I'm not sure even where to start to try to convert the music.
Perfect! For so long, I have been trying to play this song on my guitar with my own version. It was good, but nowhere as good as this version. I am looking forward to the tutorial, and, hopefully, I will be able to sound close to the original version. Thank you!
Beautiful rendition of the song and very appropriate for this weekend. Happy Easter !ππΈπ°ππ£πΈ

The sound of an Angel singing!
The video below, Progressive 1-4 Blues Guitar - plays just fine.
Tried Google Chrome and Firefox - Same thing. Doesn't support HTML 5 video. Windows 10.
Looking forward to the tutorial.
