OVAs may be dying but the late 90s can still produce inspired concepts like "what if Superman was a bespectacled anime schoolgirl?" Is the concept bulletproof or is it just a pile of cliched kryptonite?

This one reminds me how weird Miyamura's career is/was. Aside from her "big two" roles (which are neither very conventional in themselves). She seemed to be who directors called for when they needed a slightly edgy/damaged character. Her non-staring roles are MUCH more interesting than those that built Hashibara's career (she had dozens of anonymous bits before becoming THE heroine, and then transitioning through mysterious girl to "older wiser woman"). But they are MUCH more obscure (Hashibara had small roles in big productions. Miyamura had BIG roles in obscure works).
