Behind the scenes EP24: What about the extruder? And salt remelting/vapor smoothing PC!

I hope you're doing well! I'm currently working on several projects which I'm looking forward to for quite some time already. The extruder is coming along nicely. Although at the moment of typing this, just after I finished filming this exact video the extruder stopped working xD This is due to the gears being too flexible with the Nylon-like resin I used. I'm printing it out of the PMMA-like resin at this moment which will work fine.
Another thing I'm going to work on is salt remelting polycarbonate and see if it's possible to vapor smooth it. In my head it will look like it has been made out of glass. We'll see if I get knocked down by reality again xD

These look dope! It indeed looks like that. Now it needs LED's to further empathize on the fact that it's not wood xD
But the semi translucence and headstock still work regarding the "see from a distance, that it's not wood" concept ☺️
