🕑 Added 2023-08-20 02:50:35 +0000 UTCHey there, nudies! We've got another big progress report for you all! We're happy to debut yet another new character to Culo Culo Town - Rafael, the owner of BUFF BEAR GYM (all caps)!
This himbo gymbro is all about helping you be the best you you can possibly be! If you need a spotter, a trainer, a partner or even just some words of encouragement, this dude is your bro! This is someone we had a pretty strong idea of right from the beginning, and Sweez executed on that perfectly and immediately. I think he's going to have a lot of fans by the time he makes his debut in Culo Culo Town proper. Rafael's always there for you, whether you're ready to rock the squat rack or hit the showers!
Of course, we got a nude version of him too! That'll be for the $5+ supporters, so check that out after this!
Progress on the cutscenes has been steady! We've gotten another significant chunk done, and we're slowly but surely reaching the finish line on them. I think just another couple pushes will see us to the end! We do need to go back and polish them, but that'll take significantly less time than it took actually making them. We're talking minor things, like animation tweaks and alternate camera angles. Invertex has even made some backend adjustments to the engine to better allow these tweaks, so I don't foresee any issues. But here, check out a sneak peek~
Being able to go through the dialogue in-game like this has only solidified my confidence in this. I think we got something really good~
But while we wrap up on that, Bear's cranked out a few very important things. One is a little path tile set, allowing us to easily set up easily editable dirt paths along grass textures. Think pattern edits in Animal Crossing. Very useful and efficient!
But not only that, he also gave us a very special bonus FROG
Culo Culo Town has a creek running through it, and creeks need lily pads, and lily pads need frogs. These are special frogs that just sit on their cute fat butts and float around. Culo Culo Town has all sorts of unique creatures like this, probably!
And last for tonight's update, Nalem has returned with one of the last few Amber stat chibis! Mentality level FOUR
Amber's graduated, and not in the weird idol culture kind of way! I can't help but feel like she forgot something else you're supposed to wear to graduation, but eh, it probably wasn't important. Now throw that hat in the air and work your naked ass off to Mentality level FIVE! Still a work in progress, but $5+ supporters will get a sneak peek alongside nude Rafael~

Composite Creativity
They’re not “late”. They’ve been doing rewrites and reworking the cutscenes. Until that’s done, they don’t have a set demo date at this time. Whatever last date they gave before, things have changed and they’ve had to adapt accordingly to resolve issues and make their process easier in the long term. Game development isn’t a fast process, which is something that sadly too many gamers still don’t have the common sense to understand. The delays that they have had to make are going to be good for the game in the long run. They’re not going to rush out a demo, otherwise it’ll turn out terrible.
