I Need MORE Whatever Wednesday Suggestions!
🕑 Added 2025-03-24 20:57:30 +0000 UTCI made a post at the beginning of the year asking for suggestions for my one-off wednesday videos, and I received so many wonderful submissions, that I now want to do it again! Comment what you'd want to see me check out!
Reminder about the rules/clarifying points:
1) you can ONLY submit one-off videos for this; if they are series, they will not be considered, as I already have a system/order in mind for my series content
2) submission is far from a guarantee that something will be reacted to; this post will be a resource I can return to when I am struggling to find a miscellaneous video.
3) look through the other suggestions and give the ones you like a heart! Though it won’t be the only deciding factor, the amount of likes a submission receives will definitely have an impact on my prioritization
I can’t wait to see what you guys bring to my attention next!!!

Alison Tang
Maybe something by The Longest Johns - they're a sea shanty trio who write their own music and have a mix of silly and serious songs; one of my favourites, Ashes, even happens to be about breaking tradition to keep the art alive. Plus their harmonising is delectable, would recommend
Gryfon _GameZ
I think you'd enjoy some of Tim Minchin's music. A good gateway would be starting with 'prejudice' and 'grew on me' as it would give the best broad view of what his music is like.
Jack Clayton
The Stupendium is a lyrical genius and they have just the most insane production value consider they're a nerdcore artist. Since we're limiting to songs suggestions I would suggest their work of "Art of darkness".
NoNameNelly
Toby “Radiation” Fox’s 2010 musical epic, The Baby Is You
Cadance Brown
One thing I would LOVE to see is Blessed Messiah and the Tower of Ai specifically the english cover by SirHamnet on yt
Phoenix Mackenzie
Labour- paris Paloma
Annabelle
I've already commented several times, but here goes again. Lydia the Bard just released a brand new original song "Feed Us Your Girls" It is phenomenal, of course
Latedozer
The stupendium's "ad infinitum" is an insane song. Don't worry, he had subtitles on all his videos. https://youtu.be/d8RkcUiCxuE
Nobody
Ooh, love him! Escape From the City is a really good one
Reader Minion
Can you check out this song. It’s a villain song and has a fun backstory but is also just one of the best songs I have heard in years. It gives me major old school Disney villains https://youtu.be/JqLhntx0v1c?si=v11Stiul8cqpRhlK
Little Tony
OMG!! Just thought about the fact, if you love Jeremy Jordan, please listen to "Big Cat" from the musical Killer Party. Miranda Pla did a fantastic animatic
Zachary Jones
I actually prefer that one over Starlight Brigade tbh.
Io
I really like Hand of God (Outro) by John Bellion in the album the human condition! (It’s not religious as far as I can tell) I feel like it’s the grand finale of a musical even though it isn’t. It combines other songs in the soundtrack perfectly and even by itself sounds amazing. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it! The composure is amazing and every little sound is needed and placed specifically. If that one doesn’t work I would recommend Guillotine by the same artist. It’s a banger and is a close second behind Hand of God.
Annabelle
Did you see that Lydia the Bard made an Ariel Villain song? I'd love to see you react to that, it's so good!
tomkat 1909
I'd love to see you react to santiana by the bass singers of TikTok (the ones who did that awesome hoist the colours where you went on a tangent about boats). It is a brilliant version of that song.
Iris Evan
The Stupendium is a really awesome creator
Mitchell B
longest johns Unison in harmony. they are usually a folk/ shanty group but this is a one off a Capella piece they did, enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPh9A6ZP6NQ
Elfchen punkti
"Actor" (REMIX) by The Sig Figs Collective. The group makes songs inspired by Dimension 20. The song is a very lyrically cool song with a lot of meaning behind it, based on a character from their Fantasy High Campaign. Also by the same group would be a villain song called "The Stench of Sugarplum", which is based on a villain from the d20 campaign a Crown of Candy
Pandora
I would desperately love to see you react to Alien Stage. It's a Korean music series and its amazing. Its not too long and its very emotional.
John Sturgeon
Here is a pretty good one off. Ylvis — two incredibly talented Norwegian brothers that made songs as part of their late night show. More than you’re familiar with another one of their songs from their show — What Does the Fox Say. This song is so bizarre and all sorts of wonderful — Old Friends by Ylvis https://youtu.be/D2NtlTFQznA?si=KgpADxbxYtbyWxxu
Briana Hyler
You could always highlight The Stupendium. They are both a lyrical genius, and a skilled animator. They do nerdcore and videogame works, so pick one based on a game you know. They are all bangers and Stupes is cool with reactors.
Leah Davis
There's a group that does fan songs, Stupendium definitely suggest Room for Improvement and The House Always Wins but feel free to look for games you actually have played
Sage
All of RafScrap's covers are astounding, but choosing one: Hey Little Songbird https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ5XI3pLLfQ ETA: Hah, I should have checked more of the comments. Bonus rec: Beth Crowley! She's an amazing songwriter, and her latest is You Haven't Seen Me Angry Yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL3ZIqU3K8I
ChazyUK
“HEARTLESS: The Evolution of The Evil Queen” OR “into the storm - PattyCake Productions 😊
April B
There is a world of warcraft song called Warbrigers jaina/ Daughter of the sea. I know nothing of world of warcraft but when I heard the song it was in my head for days. The official video for it is a stunning animatic with 15 million views https://youtu.be/Fo7XPvwRgG8?si=JYhvLiwXbeb7O7Aq
Ashley N Miyares
I'll always throw in a vote for Chase Noseworthy's music, especially his push into more non-critical role music: top three would probably be 'Blacksmith, Blacksmith' (and if having 1 follow up doesn't make it a series, that one has a part 2: 'Song of the Fallen Hero'), 'Isle of Sin' ft. Colm McGuiness, and 'Lovers to Enemies' ft. Annpantsu.
Sarah Pudlo
Lilli Furfaro is an amazing musician, her lyrics are so incredibly good! Poetry. It's hard to narrow down which songs to recommend, but I'd probably go with: Stories: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YL1VEeXYnk Empty Vessels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YL1VEeXYnk or Second Chances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCqr_jtkP4Q
Ellery Black
Frankenstein by The Mechanisms. It's a little cheaty, since it's like a 12 minute mini ep, but it's technically one track and also a decent measure of if you'd want to try listening to more of them. Plus, A+ telling of Frankenstein.
Sarah G
The cast of Hamilton's version of Sweeney Todd would be great ☺️ https://youtu.be/bruTOQoNtO4?si=gMSSiSB8FAvryyXH
XanEcho
Siren and Lockboy by Miranda Pla!
Daniela Mocinha
OOH Alien Stage would be such a good reaction
Shay-Thelogicaldreamer
Patrick Page's "Popular"
Jonathan Fleischer
Id love to see a reaction to some of Clamavi De Profundis' work. They do a lot of Lord of the rings/dwarvish stuff. They have covers of misty mountains and song of durin, and if you're looking for something new, their Lament for Boromir and Bilbo's Last Song are also great along with pretty much everything else they have.
River
Keep an eye out for em. I know they often get tours in Europe least if the lead singers substack is to be believed.
PumpkinSparks
That sounds amazing. Sadly the bands that I adore rarely (or like never) come to Germany... it's a hard-knock life 😜
Glitmoon
I'm once again highly recommending The Mechanisms. Really, most of their works is so fun. But I'd like to suggest "Swan Song". They are a band of queer space pirates and they usually make reinterpretations of classical stories. This one is loosely based on swan lake, but queer and in space. It's very pretty and one of the best love songs I've heard. There's a lyrics video on the channel TheVoidSings or an animatic on the channel shork. https://youtu.be/HhfKEDIYhj8
PumpkinSparks
I suggested the Amazing Devil in the other post, and absolutely stand by that you would love them. But let me throw in 2 more with next level harmonies: The Arcadian Wild (Dopamine is a newer one that is really fun. Hey Runner is really good as well. Or anything from their selftitled album) The Crane Wives (anything from Foxlore is great and they have a whole bunch of live sessions on their channel. Seriously, just randomly pick one - you won't be disapointed)
River
I've seen them live twice, last in Cleveland during the new years celebration. It was a genuinely incredible show. HIGHLY recommend!
tifani
oo definitely alien stage
PumpkinSparks
I freaking love the dreadnoughts 😍 their album Into the North is on heavy rotation in my household
PumpkinSparks
Anything Patrick Page is fire. I'm gonna throw in Patrick Page reading Popular from Wicked! It would be a bit of a different one of since it's just music adjacent, but if you ever have a difficult week and just need to an easy react that let's you forget the worlds stupidity for a moment and reset your brain: that!!!
astrozia
I would really want you to react to a song "the willow maid" by erutan! If you haven't seen it yet, it's worth checking out because the vocals are heavenly and I really like the short story told in it :] (The creator made everything for the song, the instrumental, the vocals and the art for the video)
Cora Rubendall
If you're in the mood for something a little shorter, Garden Party by Madds Buckley is a lot of fun and has an excellent animated music video.
Ayza T
Seconding Sara Berry
DnD Addict
For something a little daft but also surprisingly good... OCT "Half Horse Half Man"
Megan May
Anything George Salazar! But especially the goodbye song
Makayla
Don't know how well your audience knows Adam from SomethingElseYT but I highly recommend checking out his song "Help, Oh Well"! Neat thing about this song is that he posted an explicit version and a censored version so you don't have to edit out any cussing if you want to make it easier.
Little Tony
I posted this last time, but I'd still love to hear your thoughts on "The Goodbye Song" by George Salazar & Joe Iconis. Or "Human Voice" from the musical Anna and the Apocalypse. (or really any song from that musical.
Makayla
OMG yes! Love SPG!
kaawro
Civilisation Epic Rap by Dan Bull, the artist has an incedible gift of lyricism and he makes raps about games poetry :)
Michelle Stewart
Last one: ‘Curses’ by The Crane Wives
Michelle Stewart
That Unwanted Animal is SO GOOD
Alexus Howard
Definitely would recommend Twisted Translations. Absolutely love "gradually watermelon" 🤣🤣
Joseph Cavnar
A channel called The Stupendium makes a lot of original songs based on video games. I don’t know how much experience you have with the media, but video game knowledge isn’t needed to understand the songs. Genuinely one of the best song writers I’ve found on YouTube, phenomenal lyrics and wordplay
Smee
This "sh***y Broadway" cover of Sixteen Going on Seventeen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oj-3s7txya4 The two singers are both in Starkid (Sh***y Broadway is a Starkid-adjacent channel), but it's a silly little self-contained thing poking fun at Twilight.
Grace Files
Also would love to see you react to any NateWantsToBattle covers or original songs!! I don't have a specific one in mind but all of his songs are bangers.
Grace Files
Anything from Random Encounters would be cool! They are a channel that makes musicals based on video games. This is my favorite currently, but feel free to pick out any of their other musicals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3T73vSQOlY Also, I know it says "hello neighbor 2" in the title but this is not a series. It is based on a game series but the videos they have done on both games are separate stories!
Zachary Jones
Oh dude Steam Powered Giraffe has some solid bangers!! Honeybee is definitely one of their most popular.
Michelle Stewart
I have 4 suggestions in order of how applicable I think they are and how cool I think it would be if you did them 1. I would HIGHLY recommend The Ballad of Sara Berry! There are several good animatics of it as well as a cover by annapantsu that has captions and an excellent animatic (also would recommend any of her covers if you haven’t heard them). My favorite anamatic that’s not anna’s is this one: https://youtu.be/XyNFRzAg1sI?si=OynoYZn5oq4QoPfL This song does come with a blood and violence warning tho 2. A YouTuber named Chase Holfelder does really cool covers where he changes a song in a major key to minor key, and those are REALLY good as well. 3. I would also recommend any Caleb Hyles cover cuz they’re all good 4. The YouTube channel Twisted Translations translates a lot of popular mainstream and theater songs with google translate and then back into English and then she sings them and they’re all very funny. Any of those would be great, but her Havana, The Plagues, and Shape of You ones are personal favorites of mine. You should definitely do one of hers to a song you already know, and though her singing is actually really good, it would definitely be more comedy than music analysis.
Dylan Mancy
I saw folks recommend Starlight Brigade, but I also want to recommend Magnum Bullet by Night Runner that also features Dan Avidan, especially the music video which is emotional and beautifully animated!
Smee
It's like 12 years old so you've probably seen it, but if not, my favourite thing to watch Youtube reactors watch is After Ever After. Which is both a capella and Disney-adjacent in the style of humour of Twisted.
Ms. Chuck Terry
Just for fun. Faouzia and Jeryl Lee covering Fall Out Boy’s “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light It Up)” Jeryl is the first one to sing, and is from Malaysia. Faouzia was born in Morocco, and raised in Canada. https://youtu.be/UYo0ZTbW4ls
Chris
Anxiety or Denial is a river by Doechii
AceOfTheDeck
This is a VERY obscure suggestion that I'm not sure ppl will even know but the song 'the court jester' by thquib I believe. There's also an animatic for it by Alpas [The 7th end]. This is a one-off song as far as I know so personally i think it'd be a great choice!
Lindsey Freeman
I haven’t listened to those, I’ll have to check them out! Your comment just sent me back in time, I would watch his Ted talk over and over again around when it came out but never really followed up. Maybe it’s about time.
Jimmy Wise
The Greatest Showman greenlight session, this one being the song From Now On, it is pure magic in that room https://youtu.be/6-CCxYR80mU?si=59ZSE_3Xh2OgNDFF
Dylan Brattain
Epithet Erased - That Beautiful Sound cover from JelloApocolypse is the hat I'm tossing into the niche ring
Jimmy Wise
Voctave - On A Clear Day
PhoenyxFyre
Idk if they popped up because I've loop stories from Styx, specifically there is no name, like a mad woman or if they popped up because I watched a Therapist play the game Slay the Princess recently or if both. But slay the princess was this months release though, and appeared to 1hr after they released randomly to my feed. But never knew a game like this could have a catchy musical tune for it
Ori
man theyve got some good ones, super nostalgic for me too i remember some of those older ones from when i was a teen lol
Jimmy Wise
Dirty Loops -some song suggestions: 'Accidentally In Love', 'Work Shit Out', 'Hit Me', 'Next To You', 'Follow The Light', 'Rock You'
Cameron haynes
https://youtu.be/Bb5sIyX7Hww?si=2a_7NyNOC0Sx2nO7 I think you like this one its a bit obscure but aren't we all
Dorothy Rosenberg
I’m going to suggest a cover of “Hellfire” also: Tomi P’s deep bass a cappella rendition covers 6 octaves. It’s truly unbelievable.
Ori
seconded, shes great
Dianne Antos
Check out The Harp Twins and The Volfgang Twins collaboration of Paranoid!
MJ
I know homefree release a bunch of things. And then the wellermen just release a music video for northern sky. If you want something brand new check out vagtang beatboxing or davide delmonte who is great
G_Rez
I'd love a reaction to, and this is gonna be a mouthful " Closer - Retro 50s Prom Style Chainsmokers/Halsey Cover ft. Kenton Chen" I think the cover offers a lot for you to sink your teeth into between the brilliant vocal performance as well as how significantly the song is changed by the genre switch, and it's my personal favorite rendition of the song
Devan
After listening to your podcast with Jennifer Glatzhofer and with now knowing that you grew up on country I'd love for you to check out some songs like The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie by Colter Wall or 2122 by Geese. Otherwise, I know you don't watch anime really but reacting to anime openings or English versions of them would be neat.
Tessara Dudley
Denial is a River by Doechii—the music video, especially. The Giver by Chappel Roan, with the official lyric video. Brian David Gilbert will be dropping a really good song on YouTube in about three weeks that I highly recommend when it comes out for the public. (Edit: the song’s name is Husky Voice, and it really struck a chord with a lot of trans folks on Patreon specifically, but is also just generally very relatable.)
Tessara Dudley
I second all three of these song suggestions! And add Perception Check if you haven’t already heard that one.
Fictional Kay
I really like anything of Madds Buckley DogBird https://youtu.be/hHWb--IZ6fA?si=VgSCh2o4ZJzmhJWu Whine and Wheat https://youtu.be/h6KofjaGMF4?si=ttwXp3jI06msbNXQ Garden Party https://youtu.be/68HlECVKJAM?si=2YtdTW3N3IvJPIiT
Montavious
IronMouse Singing “When I Look At You” Ironmouse is a Vtuber content creator who has common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) which has really effected her life including being isolated in her home and her voice. Before being diagnosed she was training to be a professional opera singer, and despite her struggles she still loves singing!
Kory Misun
I'd recommend anything by Ellie Banke, specifically Ireland (unrelated to LB), or WOMAN.
Kjrsten Schindler
I would LOVE to see you react to more Lydia The Bard's Disney Princess Villain songs!!
Lynn Ashmore
Kind of a weird one, but I’d love to see a reaction to one of the Newfangled Fours’ charts. I think Insecurities could be really interesting to see your perspective on and Jo Ri Mi is just fun with music theory which I think could be fun
Ione Warren
Fr. My favorite is actually "Heaven or Whatever" but "To This Day Project" is a very good introduction
Lindsey Freeman
To This Day hit me HARD as a teenager
_chacha_draw_
Bro I just requested the same thing bahaha xD TWRP is incredible for this one!
Haley Weatherford
Patrick Page's Hellfire ---- I think the whole off-Broadway run of Hunchback of Notre Dame is phenomenal, but the parts that are different from the movie aren't even enough IMO to fulfill a full series? but Patrick Page's Hellfire is INSANE
Mafidon
Music video is practically a requirement when you’re listening for the first time, I know its a slightly shortened version of the song but the animation is too good to pass up
Mafidon
Here’s the Hey Little Songbird link for anyone interested: https://youtu.be/WZ5XI3pLLfQ?si=6Qo_W0tO0jBvJ4sx
MAdHaTt3r
Maybe Man AJR You'll find the art style of the music video very cool and unique
Mafidon
LOVE Starlight Brigade, it’s such a great song and the animation has no right to go as hard as it does
DnD Addict
As someone who got to sing along to the Mighty Nein's theme live with 12000 fans in London.... I 100% agree!
Mafidon
RafScrap’s cover of “Hey Little Songbird” hands down. She’s a wonderful artist and also has an incredible cover of Thunderbringer and a ton of other songs
SteelSpider
I'd love to see a reaction for a couple of Skye Riley's(Naomi Scott) songs like Blood on White Satin and New Brain from Smile 2! They're amazing and are held by being in a horror movie sequel soundtrack. They would be audio only though.
Kpaps
Hi ren- by Ren Actually anything by Ren man's a genius not only lyrical but with the filmography as well
DnD Addict
Absolutely anything by RafScrap!!! I would suggest Toxic Love, or even their Thunder Bringer cover
Shira
'Three Kobolds in a Trenchcoat' by Chase Noseworthy
Lindsey Freeman
Also, 35MM: A Musical Exhibition! Anything from that
Lindsey Freeman
Not sure if anyone’s gonna back me up on this because it’s SUPER obscure, I haven’t seen really anyone talk about it or react to it, but I recently found the musical Dis-Topia and it’s excellent! I would highly recommmend either Roller Coaster Tango or His Happy Place. Also, Ammonia by Joe Iconis is a great listen
Cara Griffiths
https://youtu.be/lCES50brwjQ?si=EOVlaSKiH6CNP8Gp Annapantsu's cover of 'in the dark of the night' from Anastasia
Sara Jarvis
Honeybee by Steam Powered Giraffe
Megan May
Morgan Clae has great music and great videos to react to
James Johnston
Tom cardy is a musical and comedy icon. I suggest any of his songs but musically speaking I would suggest "Lo-Fi", "H.S." , and "Transcendental Cha-Cha". Excited for whatever you do either way
PhoenyxFyre
(And please give it chance, don't be put off by the title) I volunteer: Slay the princess the musical for tribute. [This right here.... .... this song specifically, but his channel has a many options to choose from.] Found them the other day, and slowly making my way throw their 10+ years of originals, parodies...etc https://youtu.be/_K7vomnTV-s?si=nLkMBktJ94recS2g
Ashley Evers
I'd love to see a reaction to one of J None's original's. The most fun would TGIF Glide - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz0ioggGTSk or Am I Here for something heavier - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yABT4rmgjuU
Logan Anderson
I’d love to see you react to something from the band Lawrence, specifically one of their Acoustic-ish songs. Don’t Lose Sight or I’m Confident That I’m Insecure are my two top picks
jayden_arsonew
poesy!!
aj knows
Last suggestion Helen Sjöholms version of you have to be there
KittyKatGurl 888
I know I said it last time but I'll say it again, Starlight Brigade by TWRP with its accompanying music video would be my dream reaction at this point lol.
Shira
It was mentioned in the last suggestion post, but I would love for you to listen to 'the amazing devil'! 'That unwanted animal' and 'drinking song for the socially anxious' are a couple of my favourites
_chacha_draw_
Starlight Brigade by TWRP feat Dan Avidan (aka my favorite singer) is a pure gem! Their music video feels like it straight up came from an anime and the instrumental is INSANE as a mix of synth-pop and rock. Never gets old and definitely worth a watch!^^
Iris Evan
How about annapanstu? Especially their Hazbin Hotel covers are great!
Nahi
Also Burn the Traitor mashup (contains Burn from Hamilton)
Nahi
Any song by Bitter Ruin though I suggest Tom Thumb or Chewing Gum (TW for that last one)
aj knows
The idiot cover by Stan Rogers
Josie Tobar
It might be a long shot “ out for love” extended, Italian male version. By LC on YouTube
Makayla
"Like a Boy" by Nick Pitera !
l3erryPipsqueak
Two Lydia the Bard suggestions: - Don’t Cry For Your Daughters Eve - Seven Seconds To Breakdown
aj knows
I don't know if might be fun to do either alone or with Casper but either Melfest or Eurovision.
Ratatosk Clarke
Critical Role’s Mighty Nein Animated Intro- Your turn to roll. https://youtu.be/LhFETREAvhc?si=m_Fdizk5qpDytBIb and because its short, you might be able to fit in the bells hells intro as well! https://youtu.be/KpMtE4UzKM8?si=FPfirwkfQYTK5wbk
Ione Warren
Id recommend Shane Koyzcan! He's a poet who has beautiful poems set to video and music. His most popular piece is "To This Day Project" it's pretty emotional but also very good.
Phoenix Mackenzie
Both mlp and hazbin have a bunch of fan songs, you enjoyed daisies, insane, Lullaby for a princess and the moon rises so more fan songs would be really fun(I'd be more than happy to recommend ones from either fandom)
Masochismet
I'd love to see a reaction to The Mechanisms, good one offs being: Gunpowder Tim VS The Moon Kaiser, Frankenstein, or Alice
Red Demonica
Queen of Kings by Alessandra. It's such a great song. I rock out to it all the time! Please check it out! Thanks!
Fox
If you haven’t heard it already, I know I’d love to see you react to Hi Ren by Ren :)
River
The Dreadnoughts Joli Rogue, their animated music video is silly and fun, and I adore their more mischievous fun shanty music.
