Patreon vs Discord

Patreon is NOT an amazing platform for connecting with the community ๐ Between inconsistent notifications and inconvenient UI, It is very hard to keep up with comments on the platform for me, and I end up missing more than I would like.
If you are not already part of the discord, I recommend it wholeheartedly! We often have great discussions in the patron specific channels after a new video goes Patreon, which is way better than the comment sections here, where I miss things To connect your discord/patreon, you can follow this link https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-gb/articles/212052266-Getting-Discord-access

I am commenting on here as I move through your backlog so I don't clog up the Discord, don't feel pressured to read all the comments if you don't want to / are struggling with the platform. For future uploads, I'll use the Discord!

I will say that it is implemented well and each sub seems to actually stay on topic which is appreciated. I do reccomend it for those looking for the experience and can handle Discord itself. I still just do not like using Discord's interface, I can't get a comfortable grasp on it. Also I'm just terrible at human interaction as a me issue

I should have mentioned this in the post, but my discord is very specifically designed to make sure off topic conversation doesn't go absolutely crazy... with these changes, I can keep up much better, and I hope others can too!!

Oh this is funny timing, I literally just connected my Patreon to Discord to join the servers yesterday!

I am using 4 Discords for Patreon creators. I also find the experiences unsatisfying because, honestly, Iโm not able to spend sufficient time checking in daily in order to stay current. I wonโt be joining this Discord; although, for those with the time & interest, itโs a great opportunity for more personal interactions.

Honestly, I've never really liked using Discord. I've always had trouble staying on top of it along with it being cumbersome to use. I don't have a better solution though and I already joined the discord and just use it very infrequently.
