For the questions of the ages, in case noone has answered yet: I'm pretty sure in S1 Glimmer is 16-17; Bow, Adora and Catra are 17-18 and by the end of the series Glimmer is 19-20 and Bow, Adora and Catra are 20-21

1:14:23 Mortius how are you liking Expedition 33? Also what do you think of the music from it

"She Ra and Adora are... Working Together!" Excellent. Now. Do we suspect there may be some kind of connection between She-Ra and Adora?

Mortius has amazing insights, sometimes. Also new Patron, been a fan of the content for a while, but come on.... it's THE She-Ra.
SweetCandle
"He's pirate Han Solo." So... Han Solo?
Jungle The rainwing
For other audience-members/not Mortius: 21:10 MANIACAL LAUGHTER. That is all I have to say

1:20:00 lmao mortius. theyre all adults đ i know glimmer acts like she's 13 but im pretty sure all the main characters are adults

I'm entertained that you're the 2nd reactor I've seen to compare the transformation sequence to "OG cartoons like Sailor Moon" when He-Man and She-Ra were the real transformation sequence OGs. đ Also the bear looking dude is named Grizzlor but he goes unnamed in this rendition. Glad you're loving it as much as I do â€ïž

I'll never get over how well this show portrays Adora as a child soldier-- from the expected bits about not being used to soft things to her deeply ingrained need to people please those in authority, whether that's Shadow Weaver or Queen Angella. She presents as She-Ra so often when she just wants to be liked, with this deep NEED to be loved. Someone please give this girl a positive adult figure in her life that isn't abusive or openly associate her for a partner's death.

I also think Yuri on Ice would be up his alley
Michelle Stewart
Btw I donât know if anyone has mentioned this, but the creator of the show you will see credited as âNoelle Stevensonâ actually goes by ND or Nate Stevenson and uses he/him pronouns now! He is also the brilliant mind behind Nimona, a movie you should DEFINITELY see if you havenât already!

Sea Hawk is great, he always brings a smile when he's around! Shadow Weaver and Hordak are probably in my top five She-ra characters due to their impressive aura and other spoilery reasons I won't mention. Honestly, there are so many amazing characters in this show that it's hard to pick just a few favorites! I'm really enjoying your theories and general reactions so far. I think that She-ra is one of those shows that seems to get even better as it goes on, and it'll be interesting to see if you agree and to see/hear your reaction to certain big events and reveals! :)
Phoenix Mackenzie
Omg same! Theirs so many moments and reveals in antsy for!
Phoenix Mackenzie
They know, they've got access to the full series(hence the footage being in a media player)

Thinking about Mortius reacting to all the awesome future moments and episodes has me doing the Mr. Burns thing like; âExxxxcellent >:)â Madam Razz is wonderful and deserves all the wonderful things! She-Ra really delves into some hard hitting topics, and interesting parallels, and they do an amazing job imo. Canât wait for the next ep! Btw! You definitely need to check out the full version of the opening song! It goes hard all the way through :D

Not sure if youâve seen but apparently she-ra is getting removed from Netflix 21.02.26 and I have no idea where you can watch it after that. Im sure someone would be able to help with downloaded episodes but it might be easier for you to binge this one before it gets removed

Respectfully disagree with your Steven Universe opinion. Early show Steven is a starstruck little kid who thinks his aunties are superheroes who fight monsters, that's cool as fuck and requires no explanation for a 12 year old. His entire arc is built around him maturing and a big part of that is learning to ask these kinds of questions because as it turns out things are never as simple as good vs evil. An incredible line from Greg is when Steven says "but they won, that's good right?" And he answers "no such thing as a good war." Also the test gets brought up a lot as a massive turning point for Steven's character and it applies to this as well. If he had thought to ask them followup questions about anything before, learning that they don't know anything about what he is either probably put the notion that they have any answers for him far out of his mind. Sorry if this comes off as rude I just feel very strongly about this

If you want to one day do anime, for some reason I feel like Buddy Daddies would be right up your alley. Wholesome, comedic, character driven, but with just enough angst and depth (and action) to keep it balanced out
Isla Sullivan
Also Perfuma is canonically transgender đłïžââ§ïž

For the princesses ages our main trio are in their late teens. Perfuma and Mermista I believe are a bit older early twenties and the purple haired artificer is late twenties to early thirties.
Lindsey
To answer your question about the charactersâ ages, theyâre all in their late teens and early twenties. N.D. Stevenson has said that Adora is 17-18 at the beginning of the show.

One of my favorite things about this iteration of She-Ra is that the writing, worldbuilding, and characters are all exceptional, but they still stick with all of the corny names from the original series. Like, as hard as it is to explain to someone who hasnât seen the show that one of my favorite characters of all time is named Catra (because she is a cat lady) who is from The Fright Zone (because itâs frightening) and is a member of The Evil Horde (because itâs evil), itâs just so delightfully camp. Iâm so glad they didnât remove all the 80s cheesiness of the original series in favor of a darker tone. It gives the show so much more charm
Sarah Elise Arntzen
Having only watched as far as you, the way I see it Shera is similar to the avatar state like this powerful entity that lends their powers and the more Adora will have to learn to âcontrol itâ and will be more in charge as Shera
Mittens Zora
The intro only changes some visuals each season, the song stays the same!
Leah Davis
don't know if you realize later but the intro woman is not that princess
Kam
The Fabian seacaster mention was brilliant
Lindsey
SUCH a valid reaction to the theme song đ It is a banger
Lindsey

For First Order- you might be thinking of a totally different completely fictional and not at all based on real life totalitarian group from Star Wars. The song doesn't change in the intro, but the *visuals* show the progression of the show and emotions on the faces of characters.
Lindsey
Same!!!

I just finished watching the previous she-ra video! Perfect timing!!
