Thats a good way of seeing it, personally I'd think TGWDLM is pride because pokey is involved and only wants to hear his own voice, it's such a prideful thing to make everything him. While Nibbly would be gluttony for a very literal reason. but I can absolutely see pokey be gluttony too yeah,.

For the seven deadly sins thing, I think TGWDLM could be gluttony. The hive consumes all that it comes across and can never integrate enough people. People are integrated by consuming part of the hive. Characters that give themselves up to hive do so because they think it will give them something they want. This is why Paul is the Hive's biggest enemy - he doesn't want anything. He does not even want to make the world a better place. He is perfectly content with his life as it is, but also probably wouldn't be upset if his life changed (if that change didn't involve an apocalypse, that is).

Mortius, I'm begging you to watch (not react if you don't want to) Nightmare Time before watching NPMD, you'll need more lore to get everything better. Nightmare Time was a gift in COVID era, and a massive addition to our understanding of this universe, and then NPMD was perfect.

People have said it before, but the hatchetfield series is essentially a horror multiverse in the same vein as the Cloverfield movies (cosmic horror movie franchise where all the films were released as standalone movies but then later recontextualized as being from the same series through things like time travel, multiverses, etc.) TDLR: hatchetfield is a REALLY unlucky town that just gets it shit /rocked/ in every timeline/universe

i REALLYYY want to watch this, have been waiting for so long for Mortius to get back into the Hatchedfield universe but the delay from the black friday video is really bothering me since I do partially rely on those subtitels as well... does it get fixed at any point in the video or does it stay out of sync for the entire hour?

Ah yes! So happy to see black Friday. So a bit of info; If any of the singing is a little off it's because most of the cast was like sick when they did the run of the show, so sadly voices are not top of their ability. I DO recommend after watching the show listen to the album on Spotify because it has some of the BEST music I think in Starkid and everyone is much healthier in that. Second, in terms of timeline; Basically think of it as a multiverse. GWDLM is one Timeline. Black Friday is a different Timeline. NPMD is a different timeline.

Speaking of the world exploding in two weeks when this was originally uploaded, I believe most, if not all, of the cast were sick through the run of the show, so their voices might be a bit shot in the recording

So Tom is played by Dylan Saunders who played Jafar in Twisted. The reason everyone cheered upon his entrance is because Twisted was the last Starkid show we saw him in.

omg mortius I knew angela FROM THIS SHOW (and nightmare time) before she joined smosh and the first smosh video I watched with her it took me a minute to realize why i recognized her and it felt like worlds COLLIDING it was insane, and now so many people are having the opposite experience of watching angela in smosh first and getting into starkid after and it's so funny to me

The best way I can think to describe the Hatchetfield timeline is like, every story is a new DND campaign. Same setting, players, characters, and lore, just a new story. There are things that “echo”, things that are destined/inevitable, but for the most part anything can happen. Imagine someone just hit a big ol’ reset button.
