On another listen--I'm sorry I don't have the vocabulary to be as precise as I'd like here--the key change might work better if you changed "if he only could" to lead up into it, instead of jumping straight from one key to the other on "Oh, there's an empty place..."?

Oh, well done! ❤️ They're both great (better than I could do, for sure!) but I think I like this version better. I'm a sucker for key changes normally, but the one in the other version just doesn't work well for me; it felt a bit jarring. You nailed the delivery throughout better in this version, I think!
