BIG CHANGES coming to the Patreon… what does that mean for you?

I want to preface this by saying this is a decision I’ve spent a long time thinking about, and struggling with. I hate to "take away" something that has been bread and butter to this site for two entire years. I do NOT do this lightly.
WHY - Unfortunately, if you study the analytics that all creators are at the whim of, it is just plain fact that early access, damages the success of Reaction videos.
WHEN – This change will be implemented beginning in June. This means that anyone who wishes to continue their patronage in light of this change has a full month to do so, with absolutely no hard feelings from me.
WHAT will the Trinity Tier be for then? – This is going to be the “exclusive content” tier. Now that I am making more and more things JUST for patrons, whether that’s my monthly covers, or the alternate animatics, or even non-analysis reactions; anything that will remain patreon exclusive, Trinity Tier gets to see them. Also, if there is anything I have that is NOT a reaction, that early access will still be available to the trinity tier folks. Any full covers, fan projects, anything like that, early access still goes to this tier.
What about the Unedited content? – Unedited content is remaining unchanged. Those of the Edeity tier or higher will still get the raw footage the day I record them. However, for the edited version, they’ll be waiting for the public release, like everyone else.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask. I will solidify and confirm all of these changes towards the end of the month. I appreciate you all :)

I fully support this and I hope that the changes help the success of your channel and patreon alike! I'd much rather see things succeed than have an early access glimpse, I can be patient! Thank you for the heads up!

If you watch the unedited access, no. If you watch the edited version, yes

I didn't know this. Does it still affect the analytics if I watch it on patreon and then again on youtube?

that makes sense i do watch the early access stuff sometimes to see what it looks like but I do agree with watch when youtube comes out

This seems to make sense, especially for a reaction channel. (I know you do other things but principally that’s the things I watch. ) And if I watch the reaction early I am unlikely to watch it a second time. (Although I do like seeing the bloopers before Mason does his thing😆.) For those who produce the things (music videos for me) you react to, I watch early release premiere, the YT premiere and usually a few other times. So it doesn’t really hurt them as it could hurt you. It seems a good compromise between an ideal world and the YT world.

I did consider adding that option the way Jen does, but I change up my schedule so much I think that would be tricky to keep up with

I stopped watching the early access stuff on here because other creators talked about how that messed up their analytics. So I just started waiting until I saw it on youtube. This makes sense.

Sounds like a smart decision. Personally I sometimes avoid the early access because I enjoy the experience of getting to see it with everyone else for the first time. Sometimes curiosity wins over though 😅, so I’m actually glad the option is going away.

This is a change that makes sense. I had wondered how the early access affected the views on YT, and now I know. All channels and Patreon perks evolve over time for all creators. Some things become redundant, some ungainly to fulfill as the membership grows, the creator has a learning curve with regard to perks, or content evolving, etc. It's all good. 🤗

That sounds like a sensible decision- though I get it's easy for me to say as I'm able to see the unedited ones. You've probably thought of this, but could Trinity level also involve knowing what the reactions will be before the public?

I know I am rather new, but I am excited to see the changes you are making. I love your reactions, but I personally have always enjoyed the unedited reactions. I like the little things we don't normally see on YouTube. I am excited to see all of your future content. Cheers 🍻 my friend.

I'm perfectly okay with this -- there wasn't much of a gap between when you were giving early access to the edited reaction and when it went public on YouTube, I can wait. Keep doing what you need to, Mortius.
