Long Awaited Progress Update (EXCUSES!)

So... I've had to put aside a lot of time to make money. I'm immigrating soon and that needs a lot of moolah. Cum vampire can't support me yet. But my new income does.
Worry not! Your support(plus my new income) is being funneled to finding good talent to work with me. However, outsourcing takes a lot of time and energy. I'm cycling through applicants for writer positions (for which I have unreasonably high expectations). Nothing super solid yet. Will keep looking. I have some burgeoning talent at my side, but further testing is needed.
But oh boy, did I recently find some awesome artists! A pixel artist/animator by the name of Edan has hopped on, as well as a general artist/UI guy named Kuja. Both are extremely talented manual artists.
As you probably know, AI has mostly handled the sprite art until now. But it has been a massive disappointment, honestly. My highly competent AI/manual hybrid guy (who has largely stepped down) couldn't get the level of precision and control I needed for the game (not without a lot of manual touchups) and at some point forward, it's just more sensible to go back to manual art as the gods intended, from a time/economic/quality standpoint.
AI will still be a thing, to maintain the art style consistency, but largely reduced in application. I know its capabilities and shortcomings. Not sure if it'll ever get to a point where I can rely on it. I'm in the AI doubter camp now. And I don't mind funding talented people.
There's also a highly competent coder I've commissioned from time to time to remove advanced technological hurdles. I'm thinking of hiring him fully in the future. (I just asked him if he wanted to be named. He turned up his nose and said no, not unless I cited his exact code lines, because he has a reputation to uphold and my code is subpar. What an asshole >:V) (jk he's awesome)
Also, my old computer is held up with glue and ducktape at this point. Sometimes it freezes up and the fans go full throttle, at which point I have to restart it. The monitor kept flickering and it was driving me insane. Struggled with that for months. The PC repair shop couldn't find out what was wrong with it, so they sent it to a factory and gave it back to me with a shrug. lmao
Finally, I used an HDMI cable and a VGA cable simultaneously and that keeps the flickering at bay, along with daily incense burning and prayers to the Omnisiah. Have no clue why it's broken and why it's (barely) working now, tbh. So I saved up and bought a laptop, upon which I do most of the work now ยฏ\(ใ)/ยฏ
Plus, I still work at futadomworld. Now to a lesser extent, because I have my own baby, cum vampire, to take care of. Good thing is that working on their code gives me a lot of experience. I can learn from their strengths and weaknesses. I owe them a lot for what they've done for me ๐
How long has it been? 7 months since last update? Jeez... I have no clue how other porn devs do it. All the art and writing and coding and irl problems. Futadomworld seemed to have gotten off the ground with a team effort and revenue shared the profits. I own %100 of cum vampire, so I had to get capital I don't have to prop it up to my standards and your expectations.
I hope you forgive me for going silent. You deserve better. In all likelihood, you won't have to wait as long anymore in between future updates (Though I am immigrating so who knows what that entails ๐). But the major hurdle which was finding manual artists is now largely removed.
Oh, btw. I've decided that, going forward, all(if not most) sex scenes visuals should be done in small-ish pixel sprites. HD is good and all, but pixel sprite is a timeless art style that never disappoints.
HD is more expensive, harder to animate in the future, a general headache because the MC being male or female almost doubles the workload, and not even better as a final product. Pixel art reigns supreme!
You can see some of the new pixel art as map sprites and the new church BG. No sex visuals yet.
Lastly, know that a looooooot of the current features of cum vampire are still experimental and subject to change.
