🕑 Added 2024-09-09 17:45:31 +0000 UTC You guys remember I said I wanted to try some new style at the beginning of last month, right? Hello GG welcome to the weekly report, I'm going to tell you today what I found in my observations last month, and what we're going to do next. let's start The first thing is the art style. The first time I tried to use a realistic style video was {The end of the adventure}. It was last September, that is, I have been using realistic characters for about a year. In fact, At that time, I didn't realize there was any problem with this realistic style, but last month my friend told me that the realistic style might be different from the characters that everyone expected to see. What I mean is, if you search for Pekora you might expect that a very cartoon-style character will come up. The realistic style is not bad but it will be different from what you expected, and maybe you will feel that this is not quite right. It's not something you want to see, and when people realize it's not what they expected, they won't think, it's realistic, they'll think it's ugly, but that's my fault, My friend told me he thought it was ugly, and I started asking him why he thought that. After we discussed it more deeply, I realized that realistic cartoon characters are a problem. In fact, part of the reason why I chose to go realistic was because of technical issues. To a certain extent, more realistic light and shadow would be easier to calculate automatically and would not require too many scene decorations. But my production skills are actually better now than they were a year ago, so I think I can use a very cartoony style without making the scene too boring, {Stream sniping 5} is an example Basically my current expectation is that I will continue to use this cartoon style in future videos. You can see that I made some new bodies and textures for the old characters. I think this style is more in line with everyone's expectations. Now that I’ve finished talking about character styles, let me talk about my current views on short videos. Basically {Picnic 02} is a test of an R18G short video, which uses some comic techniques. We brought some shots to describe the scene instead of directly bringing in the protagonist of the video. In fact, people will not notice this. Nothing special, but it is a scene that should not be omitted, Including the dishwashing scene of Pekomama in {Stream sniping 5}, it only lasts five seconds but it is necessary to exist. In the past, the length of my videos was about 120 seconds. I think a good R18G scene should have more time to appreciate the girl’s body, but in fact we should be able to add some dynamic elements. For example, someone told me that they wanted to see To the decapitation process of Nahida, well, I actually had planned to do this process but I was not sure about the necessity of this scene, so in order to test whether the 60-second R18G was feasible, I omitted this part. Because I found that even hentai videos sometimes people don’t spend more than 60 seconds watching, I guess it may have something to do with the rise of Youtube shorts and the like. People's viewing habits are changing But but Butt!!!! Actually I doubt it's possible that people didn't want to watch this stuff in the 90s because the content wasn't interesting enough, so it's probably my fault, I can't blame it on people not wanting to take the time, so let me tell you my conclusion, I Think we can actually still make 90s or even 120s videos, You know what, I think I'll still make R18G videos like I used to, I don't think the problem is the length but just that I'm not good enough, or the previews aren't attractive enough, or other reasons. I was actually looking around for various data last week, and one of the things I found was that the same thing R18 had about 10 times more viewers than R18G, which means assuming you drew an awesome big ass Yuuka, you probably have 100,000 views, if you draw a dead awesome big ass Yuuka, there may be 10,000 people left. But you know what, I'm going to tell you my evil plan now, just like Doof explains his evil plan to Perry every time, I will use a very cute and charming character to attract people to watch my video, and then they will suddenly realize: "Wait a minute...this is a guro video! But it's actually pretty good!" Then our community will grow, Very evil, right? uh...anyway, I finished processing the data last week and recreating the character, They now seem to have a consistent art style, Then I will continue to use popular characters to make videos. In fact, I used to think that I was not doing this for money, so I should make some characters that appear less often for the sake of art and not care about the number of views, but I later found out that actually People want to see popular characters, I mean, of course you will also like to see lucky star's Konata, but you won't hate to see blue archive's Hoshino, Well, if people don't hate seeing Hoshino, then there's actually no benefit to me insisting on using an unpopular character. Okay let’s talk about our plans for this month, In fact, I have said that I will produce {Occupational injuries 04} for several months. The reason is that I accepted the request in March last year, and I received the full amount. The original agreement was four episodes plus a bonus video. But the problem is that I actually tried a lot of technical updates when making this series, so each episode of {Occupational injuries} actually has a lot of things, because I have a lot of new things I want to try. I went to the requester the other day and told him I was sorry for procrastinating for a year and not finishing the series, but that I really didn't have the inspiration to make another two episodes and asked him if he could let me do it another way, and he told me He thinks the series is over and he's very satisfied, but he would be very happy if there were short videos, well, I'm lucky to have such a requester, I’m also very grateful to everyone who is willing to trust me. Anyway, I still think this series deserves a 4, but since the requester told me that he is not in a hurry about this matter, I decided to accept his kindness and put the fourth episode of this series aside. I still remember the video I promised to help everyone produce in last year's lucky draw, but my current plan is to postpone it for a few months. I believe the winner will be happy to wait a few more months, because usually the more recent videos will be better. okay so now that we’ve postponed these videos I was rushing to make (Requests and Lucky Draws), I’ll tell you what I’ve been thinking about l ately. I don’t know how many people know that I barely slept during those days when I was making {Picnic 02}, My persistence made me work more than 16 hours a day, and some days I stayed up until morning, On the day {Picnic 02} was about to be completed, I was awake for more than 30 hours. and I guess it’s because I’ve been using the mouse for so long that I can barely move the index finger on my right hand. In the last few hours, I used my middle finger instead of my index finger to complete the work. After uploading the video, I felt that all the organs in my body were wailing. I thought I might be too old to stay up late. I remember that I rushed to the station to catch the train that morning. I hadn’t slept yet. Someone asked me in the comment section of {Picnic 02} "why you don’t sleep?" When I first saw this question, I was like, "What? Because I have so much to do....I'm going to be gone for a few days so if I don't finish it today it will be too late... .and Im...." I thought about a lot of reasons, but in the morning when I finished uploading the video and sat at the station, I suddenly calmed down and thought about this question..."yeah...why didn't I sleep?" You know, I hear so many stories from people, 'I can't get a divorce because my kids are underage', 'I can't go to the gym because I have to work', 'Because...' , Im start thinking about whether the difficulties people encounter are all imagined, These reasons are not actually what limits you, I started to think that the reason why I stay up late or work overtime every day is not because it is really necessary, but just because sometimes I don’t make any progress and I don’t let myself go. I just want to give myself an explanation: "Look, you haven't even rested and you are in so much pain. You have worked very hard, so it's okay that you haven't made any progress. You tried your best." But in fact, I once said that I am a very scientific person. When I realized that my own abuse of myself was actually just giving myself an excuse or punishing myself, staying up late or working overtime did not actually help, I think I will probably not do this in the future. This is irrational and unscientific. And because those days of production made me in very bad shape in the following days, I was not in an efficient state, so doing this was actually counterproductive. I'm actually quite grateful that people come and ask me these questions, These questions may sound silly, but they really made me think about whether what I was doing really meant something. It also made me understand that many restrictions and "I have to" are all imagined by people. In fact, there are other reasons. It's just that we are not honest enough with ourselves. I used to think that I was honest with myself and rational. , it wasn’t until I re-examined what I did that I discovered that I was actually just planning to abuse myself and increase the pain to tell myself that you have tried your best. This matter actually did not help at all. Uh...did I not mention what the next video is? It's {Picnic 03}, I have a great idea so I'm working on it, but I've just started because I was sorting this stuff out last week, and adjusting myself, I think my production schedule has become much more relaxed now that I know that the requester is not in a hurry about the {Occupational injuries} series. In fact, there are quite a few things that can be done, and they all have a complete plan, but I think I You can complete {Stream sniping 06} and {Picnic 03} first, and then we will see what else can be done. okay that's all Thank you for watching the weekly report!
