It may have something to do with his “Disassociative Rage Disorder.” Bill’s DRD—a result of some mysterious past trauma—can suddenly arise when he’s embarrassed, mocked, humiliated, overly excited, sad, scared, or hungry, and causes him to enter a fugue, John Wickesque state of violent, blind rage.
…Or maybe the right guardian just hasn’t come along quite yet.
