Hmm... I see y'all hating on James which I can understand but I guess I was reading things differently. I thought he seemed more like he was personally embarrassed and ashamed by his past nerdy self and impressed/intimidated by Winnifer's transition into more a more traditionally attractive/successful "normie" and was attempting to appeal to and praise the "new" her. I don't think he was hating on the Star Trek nerd either, but rather sympathizing and lamenting how nerds often suffer from judgement and bullying, etc. Personally I hope Winnifer rocks James' world and shows him there's nothing wrong with being into Anime and Video Games and that he doesn't have to give that all up to "fit in" and find love and enjoyment as an adult. And in turn, James would love and support (and validate) Winnifer, allowing her to enjoy Video Games and Anime again too. Guess we'll see what happens tho. :)
