First piece of the year! And oh my lawd, what a piece this was. I've done a lot of complex things over the years - down to that one with all the hands (incidentally, commissioned by the same person who did this one) - but nothing has been as technically intensive as this one. Who even thinks of putting a white-haired, dark-skinned character on a background featuring a white moon and a dark sky??
I am really proud of all the boundaries I pushed on this one and I feel that despite any mistakes or imprecisions, I definitely learnt a lot. So may this be a sign that 2023 is going to be my best art year yet.
As always, would love to hear your thoughts!
