Update // Time is but confetti
🕑 Added 2024-11-13 14:57:49 +0000 UTCYou know how we did that funny little thing a few weeks back, in which we turned the clocks back and bamboozled our pets into asking for their food an hour early for the next two months?
I somehow managed to get myself caught up in two of those - the first one, in the UK at the end of October and the second one in the US, at the start of November. Compound that with a hefty dose of jet leg and I’ll let you imagine what shape my sleep schedule is in.
So, first of all, my apologies for the delay in updates and content this month. As implied above, I flew out to the US for a family reunion on October 31st, carrying all my work with me and the unbound confidence that I’d have time and American hotels would have complementary or even working Wi-fi.
I was, in fact, wrong on all accounts.
But hey, if the government can warp time so can I- just watch me squish 30 days worth of work into the next two weeks. And starting that, let’s keep this update extra tight so that I can go back to remembering how to use a pencil.
StarStickers
All successful rewards from last month have now been allocated. This month’s illustrated rewards will remain closed as to give me time to catch me bum. Further openings will be announced in next month’s update.
In the meantime, remember you can still purchase prints and merch with your points.
Patreon
The current available slots on limited tiers are:
Mentor Tier: 1 slot
This tier entitles you to a private 1-to-1 art session every month to help you in your art journey. For more info check here. Additionally, you also get 20 points a month on StarStickers to spend on rewards such as custom illustrations, prints and other merch. This tier is limited to 10 spots.
Additionally, as this has cropped up a bit recently, I want to issue a reminder that all friend referrals come with bonus points for both the joiner and the patron who refers them. What this means is that if someone you know joins on, say, the 10$ tier, you will both get 10+ points on Starstickers on top of that month's regular allocation.
And in case you want to join but don't know anyone who's already a hostag- I mean, a perfectly compliant patron, I'll be throwing in a cheeky 10 bonus points for anyone who joins by November 30th.
In closing
Although I do feel a little guilty about my productivity evaporating for the last two weeks, I can’t overstate how badly I needed the time away from a screen. While admittedly visiting the US during the first week of November was not as relaxing or unnoteworthy as I’d have liked, just being out of the house and connecting with people face to face did heaps of good against years of being a sunless, workaholic shut-in.
Now I just need to work out how to keep that energy while doing the timewarp.
With love and confetti,
Ony
