🕑 Added 2023-06-05 10:34:19 +0000 UTCI usually start each piece from the characters and their faces especially because it's the most important part of the image. Here you can see it's not really the best way to work though; a more patient artist would've composed the entire image in rough sketch before proceeding haha. The table with roses was shoved in there at the very end (since it's usually a good idea to place something in the foreground to add more depth to the image). Still, I do like how the coloring turned out!
Here's a bonus sketch of an earlier version... I like the faces a lot but the posing felt too awkward, so I had to start over.
