It's admittedly a big commitment (10 seasons), but Smallville is worth a watch. James Gunn has mentioned being a fan, and Nicholas Hoult has told Michael Rosenbaum his version of Lex is Nicholas's favorite.

So cool to find out you're a fellow Ohioan, and yeah they did some of the filming of this movie in Cincinnati since Jerry Siegel (one of Superman's co-creators) was born and raised there!

Great reaction. They did some things in this movie that is comic accurate in some of the comics, but don't align with mainline superman stories and other superman movies. I think you'd really enjoy watching the original 1978 Superman also. This is the first time Krypto is ever shown in a live action movie, in all other stories Krypto is Superman's dog, not Supergirl's. Supergirl in comics/cartoons/other depictions has a super cat named Streaky.
