Hello to all our dear patrons,
These past few days have been somewhat chaotic. First and foremost, we want to thank the entire community here on Patreon and on our Discord server. Those who have sent us all the necessary feedback to generate several fixes in the game.
This version specifically aims to address some of the performance issues with certain graphics cards. Not only will this version but the next one also have a strong focus on improving the game's reliability, stability, and efficiency.
This is a first step, but more improvements will come in future versions.

Fixed dialogues (codes were appearing instead of text)
Fixed events when saving your game
Proper parameterization of functionalities in Unreal Engine 5
Inclusion of two files to force DirectX11 and DirectX12 (for use as needed by our players)

Memory overflows - We hope to cover this point soon
Certain events are not compatible between the UE4 and UE5 versions. We recommend playing the game from the beginning if you encounter any issues or playing from a point earlier in the story before the error appeared. This is due to how UE4 and UE5 handle special characters, and unfortunately, it's not something we can fix. For now, they will remain semi-compatible versions.
If you experience problems running the game please DOWNLOAD the file attached to this post and extract it's content into the same folder the Z-Island.exe file is located. Then double click on the "Force DirectX12.bat" file, if that doesn't work try the "Force DirectX11.bat" file. If game still crashes please DM us.

Hey there! Well, the saved files will fix the quests issues. But not the memory related ones. We've included in this post a ".zip" file with two .bat files, extract them into the same folder the ZIsland.exe file is and try any of those, if that one doesn't work, try the other one. Indeed UE5 requires more HW power. But I've tested the game and played it even in on an Intel chip. I think you can play the game too. Please try the .bat files first and let us know if it works.

Trying to get the new version to work. Got the game started with 12 and played some. It's stuck with the quest to meet Danna(sp) at the house and then she says to meet at the store. Go to store, no Danna. I can't find my room where I sleep either lmao. After that 1 play the memory error hit every single time no matter what I turned off. Granted I'm running an old GTX1070 but I don't think that's the problem. It's a slow load so maybe UE5 is a memory hog. idk .... OH and I dl the save files from discord and put them in the folder prior to the memory error.
