Watching this group of thieving misfits come together to save their world and pull of an impossible heist was so entertaining! They balanced the tone between comedy and drama very well. It was just a really fun, family friendly film.
Also, and most importantly, there were sheep! ❤️🐑

In the maze, there is a group that makes it to the center and is in the cage. This movie really was wonderful, and so well executed. I had hoped for this movie to go well, but I genuinely didn't expect it to bring me to tears at the end the way it did! Definitely _way_ better of a way to bring audiences to tears than the D&D movie from 2000 did... that... was just because of how painfully bad it was. I remember going out of my way to see it in theaters, and... it hurt my soul. One of the behind-the-scenes things that I loved about this movie is that they actually got the cast together with a professional Dungeon Master from Wizards of the Coast (the company that makes D&D, and is headquartered in the Seattle Area, where I live) to run them through an _actual_ D&D game. They did that to get across to the actors just how the party dynamics of D&D work - with no single person is _the_ hero. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and roles to play. I respect that level of effort.
