In the pride of Outlands, everyone was basically close and distant relatives to each other. Asta is Bella's second cousin (her mother is something like Subira's cousin). I also suspect that Subira and Asta's mother had different fathers - Subira's was the leader of the pride from the old days, and Asta's mother had a random tramp father. Asta and Bella's fathers are also vagabonds.
May I ask who her mother is/was? Or do we know at all? I was always curious about that
