MOB OF THE DEAD - AFTERLIFE 08/12/23
🕑 Added 2023-12-08 18:00:08 +0000 UTCThis week dobby has finished the script for the afterlife mechanic! It has been implemented fully into the map and is ready for playtests, here is a small preview of it working in action! The fx and animations are still a work in progress as of right now but all of the core gameplay features are present such as being able to power on doors/perks, zombies ignoring the player and increased mobility!
It also means I am able to integrate it into my script for the plane quest that I have been working on over the last week and get that whole mechanic implemented which I should hopefully be able to show you next week if all goes well! A few ideas I have for the plane quest have been to use a shared inventory in multiplayer as a pose to holding parts being per player, it would make building the plane faster and would mean a player can't hold the game hostage by not adding their part to the plane, it would also mean you would be able to carry more than one part per player and not have to run back and forth to build it, I do like the idea of having to work together as a team in the original mob of the dead but it's also something I've seen a lot of complaints about. Let me know your thoughts on whether or not a shared inventory is a good idea!
