UNTITLED "VEGAS" PROJECT 01/12/23
🕑 Added 2023-12-01 18:05:01 +0000 UTCThis week I've been focused purely on concept design for my Vegas project, specifically about the 4 main characters as well as the wonder weapon for this map. The map will be set in the 2010s and I'd like to do very stereotypical caricatures reflective of that time period, similarly to other IW zombies maps, so far I've made concept drawings of what I'd like all the characters to look like other than Andre, if you've got any ideas on a look I could give him let me know!
So far the designs I've got are Poindexter will be a hipster / emo type, AJ will be dressed as a tourist, his persona will be inspired quite heavily by the author Hunter S Thompson. Finally Sally will be a dressed as a worker in the casino, dressing in a suit and bowtie with her hair tied up! Andre generally has a music themed persona in the IW maps so I was thinking along the lines of making him a DJ or something similar but I'm not too sure yet!
Finally this week I've also been messing around in blender trying to concept a design for the maps wonder weapon! The design right now is just a lowpoly blockout of what I'd like it to eventually be, The working title for it at the moment is simply "music_gun", it will be a weapon comprised of DJ gear and will shoot supersonic sound waves that will make the zombies dance until they drop. I'm not sure if I'll be doing upgrade variants of it but one idea for that would be to maybe have different guns that shoot different genre's of music, example a "Dubstep Gun", "Drum N' Bass Gun", "House Gun" ect. Music is going to be a big theme on this map throughout gameplay as well as eastereggs and I'd like the wonder weapon to reflect that theme!
Let me know your thoughts on all this, everything on this project is heavy WIP at the moment so it's all subject to change, more updates next week! Thank you!

will do! i really like that idea as well, the map will feature a lot of music either way as it’s one of the main themes, i can’t wait to see it all come together lol

The idea that the wonder weapon variants all shoot different genres of music is so sick. Please keep it in if you end up making the wonder weapon have upgradable variants.
