MOB OF THE DEAD 01/12/23
🕑 Added 2023-12-01 18:00:05 +0000 UTCFirst update on the patreon! This week I've been working on some of the vista around the prison, mainly the courtyard area behind the wardens office! it's still not 100% done but I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out! In the original map this area is very dull and there's not much going on (10 year old game lol) so i've tried to bring it to life a bit more by giving it some colour! I've also taken a bit of inspiration from how the area is done in BO4 blood of the dead, I've even left the dog head drawing on the wall as a little nod to that map! The last image is what the area looks like on BO2 so you can see a direct comparison between the two versions!
In the works currently is the afterlife system, as well as the plane quest which are being scripted simultaneously by myself and Dobby, Dobby is working on afterlife while I am working on the plane quest, I'd like to hope these will both be done relatively soon but plans always change fast when working in small teams so we'll have to see!
I'm also on the fence about what weapons should be featured in this map, the idea right now is having an option upon booting the map to choose between either BO3 "chronicles" style or BO2 "faithful" style weapon options, let me know in the comments your thoughts on this, whether you'd prefer that or just pick one or the other!!

i agree if i end up doing a fixed set of weapons, bo2 is probably best, ik when i did cotd there were a lot of people that wanted bo3 guns instead tho, someone even made a mod for that specific reason lol. so i think giving people a choice will be the best option, it’s just idk if i should do an addon mod as well or just have it embedded in the map, i’m not really keen on there being a menu pop up right at boot i feel it’ll ruin the flow but we’ll have to see lol

I think having a choice at the start of each game would be sick (bo3 chronicles style/bo2 weapons). But if I had to choose a fixed set of guns to be the main weapons for the map, I’d really love to see bo2 guns. Mainly for the nostalgia… and btw the map looks incredible keep up the good work.
