Progress Update: Lots & lots of animation
🕑 Added 2019-07-19 16:26:53 +0000 UTCSo how's my slightly-overscoped anxiety simulator doing? In the last 3 weeks, I did:
- Four in-person playtests! The first two were good, but the players felt one of the antagonists was unrealistic. After fixing the dialogue & clarifying that character's motivations, the next two playtests went near-perfectly! I think I can "lock in" the story, and now it's just fixing typos & making words more concise.
- A lot of final-quality art & animation for Chapter 2. In the GIF above, you can see some anims for Beebee. And below, a GIF of some anims for Hong:
And here's a screenshot of The Party: (with new characters!)
All the art for Chapter 2 is done, now I "just" need to integrate the spritesheets into the code. Then do all this again for Chapter 3. And 4.
Finally,
- All music is DONE! I didn't do this, but the musician I'm collaborating with, Monplaisir, just finished the full original soundtrack! As with all their music, it'll be released under Creative Commons Zero as well.

Rough Estimate: We are 70% done, and AwA will launch end-of-August.
Also, I'll admit progress has been slower than I'd like recently, because I'm stressing out about housing. I just moved to Montréal, and, wow is it hard to find a room to rent. I've been searching for three weeks. If, by coincidence, any of you happen to know people renting rooms in Montréal starting Aug or Sep, please let me know!
