What a year for the world news-wise, but I'm not gonna talk about that right now, juuuuust gonna talk about you and me.I'm deeply grateful β 2017 was the first year where my entire income came from kind, generous supporters like you! (In previous years, I supplemented myself with random contract work) And with your help, here's all the stuff I created this year:

Hoo-wee, one of my dream projects would be to make an explorable that starts with a single neuron, then shows how two neurons can interact, then a small network of neurons can learn & do simple tasks, how sub-networks combine to do more complex tasks, then [hand waving here about recursion or whatever] and that's how consciousness emerges! I do *NOT* know enough about neuroscience or philosophy to actually pull that off yet, though

There is a book called the power of habbit. Part 2 in that book talks about rutines and outlines it with a fire incident i the london underground in the 80? 's. That might be an interesting topic connected to why systems are they way they are.
