After the meeting earlier that day, a lot of things I already deduced became clear to me. But at the same time, I kind of felt a sort of pressure from it too. If what the male speaker had said was true then we Creator Players were in charge of designing the world of Creation Online. Making the lores and myths. Creating legends or atleast paving the way for such legends.
I couldn't help but feel out of my league in it.
Dester sent a few messages with some advice on what and what not to do in the game. Even asking if we could hang out in the game when there was a way for players to.
Having only succeeded in meeting Dad I had yet to meet Dester. Mum had made sure I didn't rush anything and that I took my time. While dad smiled trying to assure us he was just glad that I had made a bit of improvement no matter how small. I guess laying a palm on his shoulder is considered improvement since I couldn't even be in the same room as him before.
"Focus Helen" I grumbled to myself. Just then a ping sounded from my pod alerting me that I could now log in.
"Here we go" I excitedly whispered once I had put on my helmet and watched the pod close with a click.
The familiar feeling of my senses leaving the real world hit me right before everything darkened.
[Welcome to Creator Online]
[You have unseen notifications Creator 79 would you like to view them]
[Y/N]
Clicking on yes I saw a line of information that surprised me out of my mind.
[Brought Light to your Universe]
[Formed an Infant God]
[Built your Divine Palace]
[First Creator to slay a Void Wolf]
[Created your Universe Form - Star Rings]
[First to create your Universe System]
[First to reach Level 5]
[First to Finish Tutorial Phase]
[Creator 79 can now pick a name]
[Creator 79 can now design their avatar]
[Please refrain from straying too far from your original body parameters]
Three lines floated before me after the last notification was seen.
[DESIGN CHARACTER]
[SYNC CHARACTER]
[FORGE NEW CHARACTER]
Information as usual flowed into my head about each of them. Design character was adding or tweaking some of my current forms. I could make myself look prettier or give myself horns or something.
Sync character would simply use my real-life body to generate my avatar here in the game. This meant I would look exactly as I did IRL with slight game-like alterations to reduce the realism a notch.
Finally, it was time to forge a new character. It could be used to create a character for myself. Adding racial perks and such. The only side effect was that I could for some reason no more be affected by any races I made. Whatever that meant.
I hesitated a bit as I pondered which to use. While forging my Character was the best, for some reason the words of its side effects had me seeing it as some sort of lockdown. I couldn't understand yet but I decided to leave it.
This was a game, right? Everything was an experiment as to what could work.
Even as I chose I felt it was a bad decision yet I mentally clicked on the sync character.
[Syncing Character>>>]
[Character Helen Furrow found from database]
[Syncing Helen Furrow>>>]
[Sync Complete]
I watched as my body gained physicality. My hands were solid and I could finally feel, in a normal way. Before I could only feel more abstractly. Don't ask, even if I could explain it just wouldn't make sense.
Three new words appeared again
[PICK A NAME]
[BE NAMED BY YOUR CREATIONS]
[NAMELESS]
Once again I let the information come. Each piece of information was maddening to understand. Pick a name gave me strength depending on what I set my name to mean. It couldn't mean something different and unexpected from itself.
If my name meant anger then well, I could become an embodiment of rage.
It was stunning not to lie.
Being named by your creations was more appealing though. After all, not all would have the same name for me. Yet each name would give me a different core of being.
Nameless was almost the same as the previous one but unlike the first none of the names would be permanent. I could always be whatever my race saw me to be. Never able to change their viewpoint.
My eyes furrowed instantly. I preferred the second, to be honest. Atleast there I could reject or accept a name. Still, none of the two lower options was befitting.
My eyes locked on the first option instead. Why be what others want you to be when you can be yourself?
[Pick a name...]
"Hildelith" I didn't think much. If my name would define me then it was what I needed to be. A brave woman, atleast I could start here in a game.
[Name given - Hildelith]
[Meaning Sourced - Applied]
[Character panel created]
[Say status to access your panel]
"Status".
As expected, no panel appeared before me. No instead like a rush of water it flowed into my brain and suddenly I knew what I was capable of and every other thing.
