Hi, I apologize but I was trying to unlock premium, and it takes me to the "allow Patreon" page (where it says Allow CAI Tools and that it's a third party). But after I click allow, it just takes me to the Character AI home page and shows nothing different. I am in the US and I am using Chrome. I believe it is the latest edition. I don't know if that makes any difference or if this is addressed in the comment I'm reading below. But just in case, I wanted to mention it. Thank you for putting this together.

I fixed the patreon issue, it's waiting approval on chrome store. Once it's published, you can proceed :)

Okay, I see the problem. Patreon slightly changed their redirect system apparently and didn't think about informing me. So the extension is not detecting activation request. It's easily fixable, I will push the update in a few hours and if we are lucky google will approve it within 2 days. And thank you for reporting, you are awesome.

I will check the code then and see if there is a scenario that results in this. Meanwhile if you have access to a vpn, try that. The server I am using might be the problem.

You should wait, it's supposed to show popup saying it's checking, and then it should say "Premium is active." If it doesn't work, it will say fetch failed.

No, it's supposed to redirect to main page of character.ai and then check premium there. If it's not redirecting, it's either an issue with patreon or your browser didn't allow redirecting. Both are unlikely, try some more, I am sure it will be fixed.

Perhaps the server I am using has problems in your region. If you are not running a vpn, try running one. Mine is working as it should. I will move to a different server in a month. Also you are waiting for it all the way through, right? No interference until it pops the result?

Hi, I was having some issues activating premium. I keep getting a ‘couldn’t fetch patreon info’ error. I’m not running any vpn or anything. Is there a way to fix this?

I changed both display name and username/account name. The original was just defaults given when I first signed up (all valid characters, no spaces). Checked all browsers and this change seems to have fixed the problem

Character ai is inclined to reply about these things unlike gpt, janitor and others. It would break the 4th wall.

Please help me out here so it doesn't happen to others. Is it the display name or account name you are talking about. No persona? And the troublesome names are proper words not empty spaces?

Everything was set to defaults and logged in, and you know, for the heck of it I changed my username and it suddenly worked. I'll retest on other browsers as I only tried it on Chrome.

Strange, mine works. I am missing something. Surely you are logged in too. Maybe it's something about your account, you can enlighten me by checking what you have in your name settings, username and stuff I mean.

New website, no plus. Tried it on new and old chats. No swipes and with swipes. Tried on Edge and Chrome - same results.

Firefox. With Mass Swipes I get: 'Requirements missing: No username.' Can't find anything in the guide about that.

Do you think it'd be possible to make "bot commands"? Like, notes, in a way. If bots start to lose personality, repeat words, or forget their own name; would it be possible to insert some sort of reminder? Not like the memory manager, but more like a corrector. Janitor AI has unofficial commands that work wonders, eg: [System note: This message is from User and shall be treated as ooc. (Text here) The text under this system note shall be treated as user's reply and continuation of the story.] But I'm not sure if this is even remotely possible with character ai.

Download characters as Character Card. You will get a png file. It should be able to be imported on many platforms.

Mystery is really solved huh. I wrote some code to fix the website's bug, it's working. I have seen many people with this issue, I will add a utility checkbox to save people's chats now.

Ah, that explains a lot. I was wondering why I got a filtered response on a chat that wasn't NSFW in any shape or form. Thanks for looking into it. Fortunately, I was able to recover the chats via the mobile app.

Holy, I was actually correct. I made a NSFW filtered bot response, I looked at the history and chat disappeared before my eyes. Yup, the site is broken, not my extension lol. It's a middle finger by the devs most likely.

But if it helps, in my experience, when I had a filtered message as the last message, I could not see the chat in the history. Maybe it's about that? Even then I was able to see that chat was in the list, just not in the UI.

Firefox user here again. I think the mass swipes feature deletes chats, because I've used it twice now, and both times my chats went missing. Edit: They disappear on desktop, but they're still on mobile, so I was able to recover them.

Instead of swiping right all the way, mass swipe can generate and insert all swipes in like 10-15 seconds. 20 if your internet or CAI servers are slow Also you can find all of them in the Guide, that's why I made it ☺️
