Core's Opportunity - Chapter 25
by Zmeydros
The bright old compact fluorescent lights in the ceiling of his animation 2 classroom are making everything look a bit green and sickly. Up until now, his last class of the day, he's managed to fight back against his dark thoughts. But now he's falling back into old patterns.
Is it really true that he's not holding her back? There's nothing special about him. She has to be able to do better, right?
No. What had Denise said? He took Petra's decision away. He needs to let her decide whether to forgive him and whether she wants their relationship to continue. It's her choice. If she'll have him, he wants to stay her boyfriend. At least for now. Long distance might be too much, but he won't know unless he tries. He needs to text Petra and see if she's up for a Skype call.
The tightness in his chest builds until the class ends. His paws are shaky as he texts Petra: "I'm sorry. Do you want to do a Skype call tonight? I want to apologize face to face."
Five minutes later, he's looking at his phone waiting for a text back from her. Maybe she's done with him, maybe she's still mad at him, maybe he's too late. He puts his phone in his pocket. Or she's at work because it's like five in the evening in Florida. He has no idea what her work hours are, after all.
Just before he pulls in to the parking lot outside his apartment, he gets a text notification. Once he's parked, he pulls out his phone and reads Petra's response. "Core! I was so worried! And angry and sad and... Yes, I'd love to do a Skype call. Like, uhh, does right fucking now work?"
His heart beats faster as he texts back, "Just got home, I can talk in like five minutes."
"Me too, see you in five."
Grabbing his backpack and running inside, he feels the annoying but warm presence of hope in his mind. The more hopeful he gets, the more disappointed he's going to feel when she dumps him. No, this is the sort of thinking that caused the problem in the first place!
The moment he sits at his desk and logs into Skype, he gets a call from Petra. Worry is tugging at the edges of her smile and her hands are clasped in front of her. "Hey there."
"Hey. I'm so sorry, Petra. You don't have to forgive me. It's okay if this is the last time--"
"Stop it! This better not be the last time we talk. No one's done that to me before, just suddenly disappeared from my life when they were still alive. Why did you do it?" she asks.
"I thought you'd be better off without me."
"I'm not better off without you! I cried at work, I cried in the shower, I cried while trying to watch Netflix to forget what I was crying about. It's okay if you don't want to be my boyfriend, you don't even have to tell me the reason, but I want to be able to talk to you, to see you." She wipes her eyes.
He can't think of anything else to say other than, "I'm sorry."
"I don't want an apology, I want action." She takes a deep breath. "If we're going to try this again, I need an agreement from you. If you start thinking that I'd be better off without you, or something else like that, you tell me. And if something like this happens again, you will seek professional help. Do you agree to those terms?" Her voice is formal and her expression is very rigid, like she's trying to hold back a mountain of emotions.
"Yes." He nods realizing that none of this would have happened if he'd had an agreement like this with her from the start. Usually, he assumes that people don't want to know what's going on in his head. It's true, however, that if he makes decisions based on his dark thoughts without telling people, he might do stuff like what he did to Petra.
She relaxes her shoulders and slumps a bit. "Good, now for the second thing I desperately want to know: do you want to be my long-distance boyfriend?"
His tail wags. "Yes!"
"Hooray!" she grins.
"So, how are things in Florida?" he asks.
"Florida is, well, Florida? This is a bizarre place to live. Sun damaged people and cars everywhere, hot muggy weather, and lots of bright colors." She frowns. "I've met some nice people, but having to make friends all over again really sucks. I feel really isolated, especially since I am extremely uncomfortable outdoors."
"I'm sure you'll make friends soon. You're a kind and sweet kitty."
Her frown lightens. "Thanks! I just wish I could say that my job was fun. They're training me a bit in how to use their system, but I get the feeling they want to test my innate weather prediction and are just pretending I have an actual job."
"Like, they're asking you to predict hazardous weather with your weather sense?" He tilts his head.
She nods. "Yeah, my coworkers are asking me about predictions and then writing them down in whatever covert way they can. It's like they don't want me to feel awkward, so they're trying to hide how much they're interested in my talent. If I find out they have an office pool for betting on my accuracy, I'm gonna quit and hire a lawyer."
"You totally should. That would be really dickish of them."
"So, how have you been?"
At first, he has no idea how to answer that, but then he realizes what he's been feeling this whole time. Ever since she left. "Depressed. I really miss you."
"Same here..." She sighs. "I've decided I'm going to save money as fast as I can. I'm going to stick with this cheap apartment and make as much of my own food as I can and stop buying dildos."
"Are you sure you can survive without more dildos?"
She laughs. "I could probably sell half of them and not notice...Wait, they're all medical-grade silicone. I could boil them and sell them and not have an entire dresser full of them."
With wide eyes, he asks, "You have an entire dresser full of them? Even after borrowing me a whole duffel bag of them?"
"Don't look at me like that, some people collect stamps, some people collect antique baby dolls and creepy porcelain angels. All you can do with those things is stare at them. I prefer collecting things that I can interact with on a deeper level."
He laughs.
"You should have seen the look on the TSA agent's face when she saw the X-ray of my dildo suitcase."
"What?"
"I put my favorites in my carry-on so I'd be sure they didn't get damaged or lost."
He blushes just thinking about that situation. "Weren't you embarrassed?"
"Maybe a little? I was far more concerned about the fact that it got flagged for closer inspection."
"No way!"
She shrugs. "They were concerned about the toenail clippers I had in the front pocket, so they had to open it up and swab the entire thing for explosives or whatever."
"Did, did they have to open it up?" He's blushing more.
"Yup! The TSA agent's eyes went really wide, he was a beautifully chubby rhino. He actually started laughing and was really nice to me after the initial shock."
"I bet he was in a hurry to get it closed."
"I've never seen a TSA person move that fast." She laughs.
He laughs with her.
"I'm going to send you some images of the dildos I'm thinking of selling. I'm happy to give you a few of them if you want them."
"You've given me plenty already."
"But you're borrowing those, I'd give you these to keep. Any of the ones you're borrowing are fair game for you to keep, I just want to know which ones. But you can worry about that once you're stretched big enough for me."
His pussy twitches and starts getting wet. He nods.
"I'm going to come back for a visit in two months. I'll have some vacation days I can use by then. If you want, I can spend most of that time with you."
"That would be great!" His tail wags furiously.
"Next week, I should have my bedroom and such set up...Would you like to masturbate together next time we Skype?"
"Yes!" comes out of his muzzle without him even having to think. If she can't be here in person, it's the next best thing.
"I'm already getting hard about it." She stands up, lifts up her skirt, and pulls down her panties. Her cock swells to full hardness while he watches. Then she grabs it and strokes it a couple times before sitting back down and saying, "Could you send me a pic of your pussy? I wanna get off while looking at it."
"Like right now?" he asks.
She gives him a toothy grin. "Yes, right now."
The way she's looking at him, the fact she just showed him her cock, and the idea that she's going to masturbate to the image he sends--all that has him feeling hot and wet down there. He pulls down his pants, his own cock sliding out of its sheath, and sits with his knees on the chair lifting his tail for Petra to see. She moans as he reaches back and spreads his pussy for her.
Looking back at the camera, he says, "Take your own picture."
"Fuck! So hot!" She huffs as he hears her start stroking under the table. "Put a finger in."
He moans as his whole body tingles from being exposed like this. When he slides a finger inside himself, he gasps, she grunts.
"P-put another one in!" she cries out as she paws herself harder.
The moment that second finger is inside his warm wet snatch, he can't help it, he starts thrusting them in and out.
"Gah! Haah! I'm so close already!" she pants out.
"Cum! Paint that floor white!" He feels so powerful being able to do this to her. It's making his prick leak pre through the opening on the back of his chair.
Growling and then yowling, she shoves into her hands so hard that she rocks the table. Then her breath catches and he hears her massive load splash onto the floor. An orgasm from deep inside his hot passage catches him by surprise and he howls as he clenches around his fingers.
They pant as they stare at each other over their Skype call, both in awe of what just happened. Core says, "Be right back, gotta get a towel or something."
When he gets back with a hand towel, he sits on top of it.
Petra has her laptop in her hands and is turning it around so he can look at the room. She brings it under the table and says, "Look at what you made me do!" as she pans the camera over the large web of pearly white she's left on the kitchen floor.
He starts pawing as she shows him feeling like he just can't stop himself. To see that Petra came that much just from watching him finger himself, it's unbelievable, fantastic, so hot!
"Already up for more?" she chides as she sets the laptop back on the table and turns her back end toward the camera. Sliding three fingers into her pussy, she says, "Well, it's only fair that I give you the same show."
Her moans, the way her pussy spreads over her fingers, memories of fucking her fill his mind and his knot starts to swell. If only she could feel how hard he is right now! That joy he gets from sex is back, the thrill, the dense and savory pleasure.
With a yip and a gasp, he cums painting his own kitchen floor white. He lets her see his face as he gets off to her fingering herself. Her eyes get half-lidded and lusty as she watches.
Just as he's spurting his last spurt, she drives her fingers home and roars in orgasm. Her hand moves in lewd circular motions as she relishes in her release.
When they're done panting, she says, "That was pretty awesome! Haven't gotten off like that since last time we were together."
He nods. "It was great!"
"So, see you next week Saturday in the afternoon? I've got some cleaning to do," she says.
"Sure, we can chat before I go to work."
"And do naughty stuff!" she adds.
"Yep!" He smiles.
"Bye!" She waves.
Bye!" He waves back.
It takes a while to clean up his mess, but it isn't too bad. Having loads this big is starting to feel normal. And it's been ages since the last time he returned his prick and balls to their normal size. Next time he goes and buys clothes, he should just get stuff that fits him when he's hyper.
Schoolwork and dinner and a bit of time playing video games puts him right at bedtime. Once he's all ready for bed and under the covers, he smiles to himself. She really wants to be with him and she couldn't help but blow her load when he showed her his snatch. Having someone to appreciate that part of him, someone who wants to shove inside and make him and give him pleasure...he feels sexy, desirable.
It's an odd feeling, something he first felt when Millie tried to seduce him. Back then, it was hard to accept. But ever since Denise confronted him and everyone showed how much they cared, the compliments and lusty stares he's been getting all his life are finally making it past his doubt.
It's like sunlight pouring into a cold room. A permeating warmth that chases the chill from his body. Or is the warmth coming from somewhere inside himself?

On his next call with Petra, after they watch each other use toys and clean up afterwards, Petra says, "Can we call twice a week?"
"That should work fine most weeks," he says.
She relaxes in her chair. "Perfect!"
"How was your week?"
"The whole week, I was switching between boredom and frustration. Since I'm not fully trained in on their system, I was emailing my boss to ask questions, then I was bored while I was stuck waiting for a reply. Then I was frustrated when he'd respond after only reading the first sentence of said email. This happened three times before I confronted him in his office and went through my list of questions in person."
Core grimaces. "Did that make him mad?"
"Maybe a little? He reads my emails now. We'll see how long that lasts." She asks, "How did your week go?"
"Well, work is always good. Victoria's husband was gone on a trip and, uhh, we didn't get much office work done." He blushes.
"I'm so jealous! I've tried to find a strip club like Millie's here, but I've had no luck at all." She sighs. "And I'm afraid to date or make friends because this place is super polarized when it comes to herms. They're way less easygoing about it than on the west coast."
"Would you start dating if you could?" he asks.
"Not sure. Putting down roots here scares me." Hanging her head, she says, "I, I just don't think I want to live here long term."
"You don't have to if you don't want to."
She nods. "I'll wait till around the time I come and visit you before I make my decision about how long I want to stay. It's gonna be two and a half months, actually. I checked to see when was the earliest I could take four days off, sorry."
"I can survive two extra weeks." He gives her a reassuring smile. "Plus, I'll be seeing you twice a week from now on."
A smile brightens her face. "Yeah!"
"You seen any cool animals or anything?"
"Oh yeah! Next time I see a lizard or an odd bird, I'll snap a photo and send it to you. There's so many animals I've never seen before, and they're everywhere. Frogs, lizards, birds, and even furry critters. I think there's more frogs than anything else, though. I think the frogs outnumber the people. It's so humid that you can't even get your clothes to fully dry outside. I bet frogs love the weather here just as much as I hate it. At night, it's practically a frog symphony."
"Does it cool down at night?"
She nods. "Yeah, some, but the average nighttime temperatures here are pretty similar to the daytime temperatures in Seattle with the same humidity. So it goes from very hot and muggy to less hot and muggy."
"I'm surprised you've stayed there this long. I don't think I'd last a week." He shakes his head.
"It's amazing what people will do for good pay, isn't it?"
He nods. "Yeah, or for barely livable pay."
"So true." She looks at something on her screen and then types for a moment before giving him her attention again. "One of my coworkers wants to go out drinking with me."
"Do you want to?"
"Not with him, he never stops complaining about his ex-wife. It's sad that he's the only coworker that's offered to do stuff with me outside of work."
He smirks. "You should go drinking with him, I'm sure he's less annoying when he's drunk."
Nodding her head like she completely agrees. "Oh, sure, people like that are always more fun when they're drunk."
He laughs.
Getting out of her chair, she says. "Speaking of drinking, I bought some beer on the way home today."
Soon after he hears the fridge open, she sits back down holding an amber-colored bottle and takes a swig.
"Long day?"
"Very. I actually had to go on a walk to calm down after my boss changed my tasks three times in a row and then complained that I wasn't getting stuff done fast enough."
"He doesn't sound like a good manager," he says.
"He's really good at explaining stuff, but he keeps changing his mind about what he wants." She shrugs. "It's normally fine, but today I just needed a break."
"I would need a break from that too," he says. "One of my professors is having us do this final project where none of us know exactly what we're supposed to do."
"That's terrible!"
"I've gotten used to it. Lots of professors have that problem."
She says, "Yeah, I had that a lot in college too. Maybe having people tell you what to do always sucks."
"That's why I liked your business idea so much."
"Me too..." She looks off into the distance for a moment. "I'm gonna see if I can electronically participate in Millie's entrepreneur group. I should make an actual business plan."
"Oh, so you're going to start working on your business?" His tail wags.
"I think the numbers are going to be terrifying, like the amount of money I'll need to get started. But I don't know that for sure and I haven't even looked at my funding options yet."
"True!"
"Core?"
"Yeah?" He leans forward.
"Thank you."
"For what?" he asks.
"For being part of my life," she replies.
