🕑 Added 2024-03-11 21:35:54 +0000 UTCHey everybody! I'm a little late on the ramblings today, because I took the day off to go hiking and just got home and got showered and everything.
Man, I've just been enjoying life lately. I've been getting out and doing something every day for the last month or so. Whether it's the gym, or running, or hiking, I've just been having a good time and getting fit. I've gotten past the point where it's like "aw man I have to go to the gym and work out" and I've hit that point to where I'm actually looking forward to it. Like, I'm going to the gym tomorrow to lift and I can't wait to see how I do.
I've also been eating a lot better and tracking calories and stuff. In the last month, I've lost four pounds and gained a lot of muscle as well. I feel really good right now.
And we're looking into getting bikes for me and my partner as well. We both had old bikes in storage at my mom's house, but they're old, rusty, Wal-mart specials and I don't think they're going to be worth fixing up, so likely going to drop a little money on buying new bikes.
I've been saving so much money by eating at home though instead of eating out regularly, that I think we can manage it okay.
I'm just so pumped right now and I can't wait to see where I am a few months from now. I want to hike up mountains and I want to go bikepacking and I want to go on long-distance hikes. There's just so much that I want to do and I feel like I'm getting closer to being able to do them.
Okay, so aside from all of that, and aside from work (I'm almost done with the content for Update 17 - I promise I'm still working a lot on the game), I've been playing Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, and it's amazing. At night, during our usual TV/movie watching time, I've been playing FF7 instead. I love it so much. It gives me the same feelings I got when I first played FF7 back in middle school. It's an amazing game. I haven't quite finished it yet, but I think I'm getting close. And I've been ignoring a lot of the side stuff, just because I'm so invested in the main story. I'll go back and do the side stuff later. It's just so good.
