🕑 Added 2024-03-04 14:04:00 +0000 UTCHey everybody! Not much new going on in my life this week. I've been pretty focused on working out and eating right and everything and have been really getting into the routine of all of that.
On Monday and Thursdays I go to the gym and work out with my personal trainer. We do strength training and stretches. After this week, I will have been with her for a month. I'm not sure that I'll continue seeing her much longer though, as it's pretty expensive and I think at this point that I could do it on my own. We'll see. I do like working out with her a lot, but I'm not sure I can justify the expense.
On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, I have been running. I've really been enjoying this. I bought a new watch that helps motivate me a lot. It keeps track of all my intervals and my pace and the calories I burn and all of that.
Then on Tuesdays and Saturdays, I'm trying to get out and go on hikes. We went to a lake here in Texas that we hadn't been to before this last weekend and had a really nice 5.5 mile hike through the trails there. The weather has been gorgeous.
In addition to the workouts, I've been tracking my calories as well. I've been on a high protein, low fat diet plan for the last couple of weeks and it's really been working for me. I feel so much stronger and I have more energy and I'm just overall happier than I was a month or two ago.
I've done these types of things before, but it feels different this time. I don't think I'm going to quit this time. I think I can stick with it.
Aside from the health stuff, I also played through Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion, which was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot. And I started playing Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, which I'm really excited for and have done my best to stay away from any spoilers. Still playing through Persona 3: Reload as well. I think I'm getting close to the end of that one, but it's a long game.

That's great to hear. I pretty much live in the gym when not working or doing anything else. So if you need any advice please reach out. Most important thing is to fight that motivation. You will lose it some days but force yourself. And don't skip legs 😄
