Widowmaker is Miss November!

Thanks! If I could animate more efficiently, I'd love to make longer clips. But currently it just takes me a long time to create even these short loops. I know I could animate these a lot faster, but I just don't know how yet. It's probably a matter of experience. Planning out the shots would be a big help as well ... currently I spend a lot of time trying different things to see what works.

Thanks for the critique! For the old hair I painted an additional map, which had these extra strands in it. I did that cause, same as you, I thought it looked to plasticky otherwise. This time around, I decided to ditch that extra map and stick with the original ones instead. I believe Blizzard uses a custom shader for their hair, which is impossible for me to recreate exactly. I agree with you though, the hair doesn't look very good. I'm not sure I can do a lot better though, cause it's a single big surface and this is the kind of look you're gonna get with that, if you don't have custom shaders for this sort of thing. I have a few ideas though and will give this another pass after I finish the picture.

New model looks really good, except the hair which look too shiny. Too much phong/specular? Either way, good job so far.

I don't do smart! :D Nah, it'd mean cheating you guys out of a poll. It's just a picture, so it's not a ton of work!

That's the plan! At least there'll be a clothed version ... whether or not it's going to be SFW, depends on the workplace, I guess :p

Thanks for your hard work, you are the most detailed and anatomically correct animator I've come across :D! I love most of the new improvements on DVa. But if I were being completely honest, I have to say I think the 'Old' hair looks more polished and put together. I like the color of the new hair, but it looks like it is a mass of play-dough or something. Seemed like the old hair had more detail lines in it to create the effect of individual strands of hair. ...But for all I know I may have caught you in the middle of finishing out the detailing of the new hair, so sorry if that's the case! <3 as always.

I have no idea what you did exactly but I'm guessing you did a good job at it. The differences between old and new are clearly visible and improvements on every front. Looking forward to more WIPs :) Also, wouldn't it be a smarter idea for you to dub widowmaker miss December instead? Gives you more time to work with and a lot more breathing space for miss January
