I'm glad to see you guys are torn about this as well :D The nice thing is at least that both don't have to be mutually exclusive.

I was thinking about something like that as well, mainly because then I'd be able to use these segments to make proper gif previews for Tumblr. But splitting an animation up so I end up with two or more smooth loops is extra work and extra rendering time for what's essentially the same animation. I see the appeal of it though ... having a looping animation of Mercy's riding bit would've been really cool, I think.

I think so too! Just need to find out what to replace that placeholder table with :D

Haha, yes! Take my money! Indeed, perfect for a short. The first pic also made me say "YES" out loud. Not that much different than some of the other poses, but a couple key differences hit the right buttons when I imagine it animated. Making a couple shorts every now and then would keep people sated, but it can end up taking time away from the grander ones, like TheDirtyMonkey is saying. The key will probably be to make efficient decisions for the short. Cause they're cool too. I like shorts. Shorts are cool. It can also give you something to work on in case progress on one or the other goes awry.

Either way, I'm always happy when you get to work on those fun audio tracks you love so much ;)

The reverse cowgirl one is the best! Fits her strong personality of taking charge ;)

1 long or 2 shorts with different angles...you make it too hard to chose. @_@ I like both angles with what you have in mind for them. Sorry but I can't help you this time. I like both options. XD

I think that your long animations are the best one and you should keep them. There are so natural and create with passion But some times you could make shorter one i bet that they will be epic too ;)

I'm a bit torn, since the longer animations are definitely more your 'thing' as it were, and the fact that they are both long and such high quality is part of the reason I enjoy them. But at the same time, a wider variety of poses would be pretty nice as well. Especially in this case, as I'm a bigger fan of the proposed shorter loop pose than I am of the main one. I'm probably more in favor of shorter animations for more variety, but I'm fine with whatever you decide to do.

Like TheDirtyMonkey said, your track record with expressions in animation gives me faith that whatever you decide to do will be epic. Personally, I think it'd be cool to have short loops for the first and final poses/shots (with more static expressions), then also have a full short animation which transitions between the two poses (and faces/expressions for widow), like the old Silvermoon animation. Of course, I say that under the assumption that it's not an ungodly amount of time and effort to produce two loops and a short, which I'm sure is false. That being said, both shots are great; I love the standing position and the new cowgirl shot is super sexy, so matter what you do it's gonna be top-tier

I think shorter "loop" animations are a great idea for people who might want to see some quality insertion stuff like the sample pic in question. But yeah many of us I'm sure are here because of your god teir character "acting" and expressions. Personally I always regarded you highly after the first Widow gif you did and the D.Va one. Then you dropped the Mercy/Soldier one and I was like, yep. Take my money. The point I am trying to make I guess is If you can make your signature mark with the pandering closeups of 3-5 seconds (Believe me I would love to see genital to genital anims in your style) Go for it. But if its gonna be at great cost to time spent on pieces like the mercy soldier and the longer loops you've done before ... I dunno, I feel like it would be time better spent on a higher quality piece with more acting. I think this is a great discussion to have tho, so I'm curious what everyone else thinks

I REALLY like this angle. 3 was by far my favorite of the last set, I think this just brings out the potential for the 'rough' you're looking for. And it looks like it gives you more 'room' to keep it interesting for ~15 sec. Keep it up!
